Ha !! I had similar experience. It was actually 1998 and I was in my first year university. A buddy of mine invited me over to his place to study for a biology test. He was an old skool head. This was playing in the background and I remember hearing the first notes I was like "yo.. those lyrics they sound familiar. Then when 2:42 started to play I was I like " wait wait wait wait....... that is where Biggie got this?!" From that day on I've been crate digger since lol.

Motown had a modern-day Beethoven on their hands...and fucked it up, big time. by the mid 80's, those executives at Motown STOPPED EL from Composing and Producing his music. telling EL. that his music was to BLACK/R&B. later causing EL to question his own musical genius. and him getting depressed and start using drugs. that boy should have been as BIG as Prince/A Major Superstar. with those awesome musical gifts, to match his movie star good looks.

Being a high school all-American and having a very heard wanke produced my 1st born son by my Jr. year of high school. I used to try to sing this song to my little boy and his loco mammy! I would sing this to her as we tried to give our son a brother. 😍 I graduated high school and hurried to enlist with our Uncle Sam instead of going for myself in college with offers for football, basketball, and track. I took a leap of blind faith and face-planted but didn't lose any teeth! This song reminds me of that part of my history. Anyways please enjoy! 👍

And I considered myself a Debarge fan. I was in Target one day and heard this song. I thought it was a new single 😬😬😬. I took my cell phone out to search the name of the song and found out this is an old release. I came straight home and found it. Now I can’t stop listening to it. 😍😍😍 and lovin it soooooooo much!!!
