First single 'Little Clouds' (built around the deep soul of front-lady Elke Bruyneel) has already been playing on the radio over the last few months. The incorporation of Elke - a jeune première who likes to rub her voice up to those of vocal queens like Ella Fitzgerald, Beth Gibbons and Angie Stone - was a great move musically. With her arrival Delavega last year began a promising new chapter involving dub, noise, (nu) jazz, funk, soul and urgent rock as musical sources.
The new album THE DAY AFTER is out OCT 22nd. DELAVEGA will be presenting their 2nd full album to the audience NOVEMBER 14th at the Handelsbeurs in Gent and NOVEMBER 22nd at the Ancienne Belgique in Brussels.

I heard this song only two days ago on Belgian public radio, while I was in a traffic jam. My car radio wasn't playing very loud and so I didn't hear the radio presenter's introduction. So while listening I thought it was some famous American soul singer.
But the song overwhelmed me, and the next day I started searching for the lyrics, and found out that this magnificent voice actually belongs to a Belgian singer. To me, this is one of the best songs I ever heard.
