Just saw the movie Arrival, and all through it I kept thinking how perfect this song would have been to use in it.
Missed opportunity!

@His Holiness Pope Julius II. Unfortunately a bit rushed towards the end, which imo made the last sequence quite confusing, as to Why would they suddenly... but even with that confusion, which I think Im starting to step out of due to it maybe indicating the time for a proper rewatch of the movie, it must be said that the song choice made those entire 15 minutes one of the most seered into my memory moments Ive ever had.
I mean, Ive only seen it once anyway, 10 +/- years ago, but it left Quite the impact on me, and maybe there was some finer, subtler reasoning for the abruptness of it all...

on fire Foley

Maybe not for the movie lol

Such a tragic, devastating, shattering song. Most people recognize it from the film "The Mist" but it's most powerful rendition was the 1992 documentary "Baraka", in the scene about poverty and homelessness.

Watching human beings desperately dive into a dump truck's leavings while surrounded by feral dogs and pigs was one of the most hideous things I've ever seen. Reminds me of the quote:

"I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein’s brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops."

@Max Canon...I saw that documentary Baraka and it was visually stunning! The most moving part of the scene you mentioned is the young boy sitting down begging at the passers by. 😞 Absolutely heart breaking.

@Daisuke Teiko Official No such thing as God or gods. Just a Human creation.
