The song "Little John's Story" by Dead Infection tells the sad story of a child prodigy named John who was immensely talented and intelligent beyond his years. As a child, John excelled academically, passing every exam with flying colors due to his incredible mind that developed rapidly year after year. Sadly, John's success elicited negative reactions from others who became jealous of him. Some people even resorted to physical altercations with him, teasing and beating him up.
One day, after leaving school, John encountered his tormentors at the park where they escalated the situation. The group attacked him, beat him up, and even pulled toll-bars on him. This assault culminated in them hurling stones at him that struck him in the temple and eye, leaving him bleeding and with his eyeball being dislodged by a few centimeters. The perpetrators escaped, leaving John alone and helpless.
The lyrics of "Little John's Story" are heartbreaking and powerful, showing the devastating effects of jealousy and violence on a young and gifted individual. The song highlights how society can be cruel to individuals who excel, causing them to become targets of insults, ridicule, and physical harm from people who harbor hate and envy.
