Keep On Running
Deadline Lyrics

He'll keep on running till the morning light
He has no plans for looking over his shoulder
He'll keep on running, yea
He'll keep on running, yea
A heavy sigh, makes his body sink down deeper and
In his mind, he can't think straight it makes him weaker and
Sees a light, but it's travelling faster from him
In his mind's eye, he can see no future here
So he wants to fly away
But he has this fear, this fear in his heart
This fear of not knowing
The lyrics of Deadline's Keep On Running paint a vivid picture of a person who is running away from something, but they don't know what. The singer is on the move all night and into the morning, without any plans of looking back or slowing down. The lyrics suggest a sense of urgency, as if the singer is being chased or hunted.
As the song progresses, we get a glimpse into the singer's mind. They are tired - a heavy sigh makes their body sink down deeper. They can't think straight, which makes them weaker. Despite not knowing what they are running from, they know that they must keep going - it's do or die. The only thing that they can see is a light that seems to be travelling away from them. This light could represent hope, or escape from whatever they are running from.
The singer doesn't see a future where they are, which is why they want to fly away. However, they are held back by fear, a fear of not knowing. This suggests that the singer would rather keep running than confront whatever it is they are running from, even if they don't know what it is.
Overall, Keep On Running is a powerful song that captures the feeling of being trapped, but also the possibility of escape. The lyrics are filled with emotion and paint a vivid picture of the singer's state of mind.
