Dean Brody was born in Jaffray, British Columbia, Canada.[2] As a boy, Brody worked at a sawmill, also playing guitar in his spare time. By 2004, he had moved to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue his musical career. Although he found a songwriting contract, the expiration of his US work permit forced him to move back to Canada. Eventually, he returned to Nashville through the suggestion of producer Keith Stegall, who helped him sign with Broken Bow Records in 2008.[2] Brody released his debut single, "Brothers", late that year. Shortly before its release, Brody was injured in a waterskiing accident.[3]

We'll have some F-U-N tonight
Everybody welcome in the VIP line
Out here in the woods
Up here there ain't no velvet rope
Just a big bonfire down a small grass road
It's a secret place where the music goes
It goes, it goes, it goes
It goes boom, boom, boom (boom, boom, boom)
'Neath the big blue moon ('neath the big blue moon)
And we stomp our boots (stomp our boots)
Sippin' on Bacardi
Me and you (me and you)
Steal a kiss or two (steal a kiss or two)
And crash under the roof
Up against the roots
Of a Georgia pine tree
Yeah, come on down outside of town
To our bush party
B-U-S-H-P-A-R-T-Y
All my buddies need the stars and the rhubarb lots
Yeah, the popo problably gonna visit us tonight
'Cause you're way too loud
Here they come through the smoke
Country boho girls
Tunic shirts, lace skirts, rocking janglets and curls
Yeah, it's a party now
The woofer's thumpin' now
They go, they go, they go
They go boom, boom, boom (boom, boom, boom)
'Neath the big blue moon ('neath the big blue moon)
Sippin' on Bacardi
Me and you (me and you)
Steal a kiss or two (steal a kiss or two)
And crash under the roof
Up against the roots
Of a Georgia pine tree
Yeah, come on down outside of town
To our bush party
Dancing on the hood
It's off the hook
My kind of crowd, outside of town
The sparks go up and we get down, down, down
Boom, boom, boom (boom, boom, boom)
'Neath the big blue moon ('neath the big blue moon)
And we stomp our boots (stomp our boots)
Sippin' on Bacardi
Me and you (me and you)
Steal a kiss or two (steal a kiss or two)
And crash under the roof
Up against the roots
Of a Georgia pine tree
Yeah, come on down outside of town
To our bush party
Yeah, come join the crowd
We'll show you 'round
Our bush party
B-U-S-H-P-A-R-T-Y
We'll have some f-u-n tonight
Everybody welcome in the VIP line
Out here in the woods
The song "Bush Party" by Canadian country music artist Dean Brody describes a typical outdoor party held in the woods. The song speaks of escaping from the noise and jumping into the natural world where anything goes. The title "Bush Party" refers to the fact that the party is held in a remote, wooded area. The chorus spells out the name of the event, accompanied by a catchy melody that encapsulates the excitement of the party.
The opening verse establishes the concept of the event: a VIP line with everyone welcomed. The VIP line refers to the equality of the group, where everyone is on the same footing. The chorus then follows, discussing a bonfire and secret music that sets the tone for partygoers. The second verse talks about the presence of police, which adds to the sense of excitement and rebellion. The chorus is repeated before a bridge, and then the chorus repeats again before the final verse. The final verse describes the sight of dancers atop car hoods with a night sky full of sparks.
Overall the song paints an idealistic and romantic view of outdoor parties, free of the constraints of urban life. It captures the sense of liberation and escape that partygoers feel in this environment.
