Dean Brody was born in Jaffray, British Columbia, Canada.[2] As a boy, Brody worked at a sawmill, also playing guitar in his spare time. By 2004, he had moved to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue his musical career. Although he found a songwriting contract, the expiration of his US work permit forced him to move back to Canada. Eventually, he returned to Nashville through the suggestion of producer Keith Stegall, who helped him sign with Broken Bow Records in 2008.[2] Brody released his debut single, "Brothers", late that year. Shortly before its release, Brody was injured in a waterskiing accident.[3]
It's Friday

Where the country girls go and the boys get loud
Yeah when the whistle blows we make quite the crowd
When the sun sets low on Friday
From the pubs in Ireland to Tennessee
From the west coast down to myrtle beach
And every little town here in betweenWe know how to party on Friday
And the band plays on and the taps they flow
The boss man's yelling but we've all gone home
A come a Monday morning I will return
But tonight ain't Monday it's Friday
Well I like my job but I love my friends
So you know where I'll be when the work week ends
At the little country tavern just around the bend
When the sun sets low on Friday
And the band plays on and the taps they flow
The boss man's yelling but we've all gone home
A come a Monday morning I will return
But tonight ain't Monday it's Friday
There's a place in town where we all hang out
Where the country girls go and the boys get loud
Yeah when the whistle blows we make quite the crowd
When the sun sets low on Friday
And the band plays on and the taps they flow
The boss man's yelling but we've all gone home
A come a Monday morning I will atone
But tonight ain't Monday it's Friday
But tonight ain't Monday it's Friday
But tonight ain't Monday it's Friday
Dean Brody's song It's Friday is an upbeat country song that celebrates the end of the workweek and the start of the weekend. The lyrics describe a local bar or tavern where people gather to socialize and have a good time. The chorus repeats the phrase "And the band plays on and the taps they flow" emphasizing the lively atmosphere of the place. The line "The boss man's yelling but we've all gone home" implies that the main character is able to let go of the stresses of work and enjoy the company of friends. The song ends with the repetition of "But tonight ain't Monday it's Friday" underscoring the idea that Fridays are a time to unwind and take a break from the pressures of daily life.
The song is relatable to many people who work Monday to Friday jobs and look forward to the weekend as a time to enjoy themselves. The lyrics contain a sense of community as the people in the song seem to know each other and share a common location they enjoy going to. Furthermore, the song evokes feelings of joy and excitement through celebratory language such as "we know how to party on Friday" and "the boys get loud". The upbeat and catchy melody of the song is supported by country-style music, which creates an atmosphere of fun and liveliness.

How am I just hearing this song, I'm from the U.S. (Michigan) and listen to a Candian country radio station. When I heard it, I immediately had to turn the radio up and thought of my mom when I thought i heard was, bag pipes (we had them played at her funeral). What a GREAT SONG!!! And I know my mom would have liked it as well. đ¶đ¶đ¶đ¶
