Until the End
Death Pilot Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Feeding off only memories
These words were spoken
And somehow carved in stone inside my mind
Now I can't breathe
Until the end of the world you would be my girl
While your thoughts never become clear
but the promise that I made so long ago
has left me frozen standing here
If I could take a hook and scrape my memory
to clear out this infection
I'd glady give my life for numbness to arrive
And end this slow dissection
you promised I believed that
Nothing lasts forever
Why does nothing last forever
Why?!
Believed you when you promised
Why?!
I believed you when you promised
Why?!
I believed you when you promised
Why?!
Promised me and I believed that
Black skies open up
The worlds torn into
Swallowed all I can
Now the world is through
To save my face as I walk away
There's nothing left I can do or that I can say
Until the end of the world
Until the end
Until The End
The lyrics to Death Pilot's song, "Until The End," are about the pain of heartbreak and the struggle to move on. The opening lines, "Broken heart that somehow beats, feeding off only memories," immediately set the tone for the song. The singer is struggling with the aftermath of a failed relationship and is unable to let go of the memories and promises that were made. The lines, "And somehow carved in stone inside my mind, now I can't breathe" convey the weight and suffocating feeling that the singer is experiencing.
The song then goes on to explore the theme of mortality, with lines such as, "Bodies age and disease spreads, while your thoughts never become clear." The singer is struggling to reconcile the idea that everything is impermanent, but the promise made in the past continues to hold power over them. The chorus, "Until the end of the world you would be my girl," is a poignant reminder of this promise.
The song ends with a sense of resignation and acceptance that the relationship is over and there is nothing left to be done or said. The final lines of the song, "To save my face as I walk away, there's nothing left I can do or that I can say," emphasize the finality of the situation.
Overall, "Until The End" is a powerful song that explores the timeless themes of love, loss, and mortality.

Broken heart that somehow beats
My heart is broken, but it somehow keeps on beating
Feeding off only memories
My heart is surviving only on memories
These words were spoken
I remember the exact words that were spoken
And somehow carved in stone inside my mind
Those words are etched forever in my memory
Now I can't breathe
The memory of those words is suffocating me
Until the end of the world you would be my girl
No matter what happens, you'll always be my girl
Bodies age and disease spreads
Our bodies are getting old and we're getting sick
While your thoughts never become clear
You never really figured out what you wanted
but the promise that I made so long ago
I made a promise to you a long time ago
has left me frozen standing here
That promise has kept me stuck here, frozen in time
If I could take a hook and scrape my memory
I wish I could erase that memory
to clear out this infection
To get rid of the hurt and pain that comes with it
I'd gladly give my life for numbness to arrive
I'd give up everything just to not feel this anymore
And end this slow dissection
To put an end to the slow, painful torture that I'm going through
you promised I believed that
I believed in your promise
Nothing lasts forever
Nothing in life can last forever
Why does nothing last forever
Why must everything come to an end?
Believed you when you promised
I believed in your promise
Promised me and I believed that
I trusted that you were telling the truth
Black skies open up
The skies turned dark
The world's torn into
The world around me is falling apart
Swallowed all I can
I've done all that I can do
Now the world is through
It feels like the world has ended
To save my face as I walk away
I'm trying to keep up appearances as I leave
There's nothing left I can do or that I can say
There's nothing I can do or say to fix this
Until the end of the world
No matter what happens, until the very end
Until the end
Until everything is over
Until The End
Until everything comes to a close

I have been following the band members ever since I found out about this band in 2008 and nothing of what they have done since the breakup has been able to touch the amazingness of Death Pilot/TKC. These guys could have been huge.

Greetings everyone! I am sorry to report that Death Pilot/The Kill Corps are no more. The good news is that the spirit of this amazing band is being carried on in two other wonderful groups! The two bands are called Valor & Vengeance and Bedlam's Gate. You can easily find them here on Youtube and on Facebook.
@NightNight202
Death Pilot/The Kill Corps is finished. There are two different bands that have carried on the legacy though. Bedlam's Gate and Before the Mourning. Both of these bands offer free music on their Facebook pages,
@AvatarofZodo
This band is now called The Kill Corps. I think they recently signed to Virgin Records... So far, I haven't heard of any tours, but I'm always on the lookout, plus I keep in contact with the guys from Dommin, so I bug them to let me know anything new as well. :) They've got a show coming up on June 7, 2010 in Hollywood, CA, though.

And yes I did read the description before posting the news. I felt that a non biased message was needed in order to spread the word about the two new awesome bands that have emerged from the ashes of Death Pilot/The Kill Corps. We do not need to know how the band dissolved. The only thing we need is to know where the band members went so that we can still follow their great music!
