Defeated
December Waiting Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I'm writing you this song to tell you how I feel
I've always found it hard
I don't want to end up drowning in the darkness
You said you'd never leave
Don't ever feel that you have let me down
I do that by myself
Searching for something I'll never find in this lifetime
Faith has long since moved on
Broken with my heart

I'm defeated by my conscience
Lost in the true sense.

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of December Waiting's "Defeated" explore the complexities of human emotions, particularly the feelings of defeat, loneliness, and betrayal. The song's opening lines, "I'm writing you this song to tell you how I feel," set the tone for the rest of the track, which is essentially a message to someone who has hurt the singer in some way. Throughout the song, there's a sense that the singer is grappling with their own demons and trying to come to terms with their pain.

The verses in "Defeated" express a sense of loneliness and fear of being unable to find the light at the end of the tunnel. The line "I don't want to end up drowning in the darkness" suggests a fear of succumbing to despair, while the repeated phrase "Searching for something I'll never find in this lifetime" conveys a sense of hopelessness. The chorus, which starts with "Broken with my heart," reinforces the idea that the person singing is struggling with heartbreak and disillusionment.

Overall, "Defeated" is a powerful song that explores themes of heartbreak, loneliness, and the struggle to make sense of difficult emotions. The lyrics offer a visceral portrayal of the pain that can come with love and relationships, and the message of the song is ultimately one of resilience in the face of hardship.

@XK this is how your body works(assuming nothing goes wrong) its like getting callasoes on your fingers if your a guitar player.
once your body expearances a trauma, it builds that portion of the body to get stronger in case it happesn again(this i what body building is, its tearing the mucles in a target area of yoru body like biceps, then your body rebuilds them with more of said material muscle in this case)

this also works for bones, tho you have a danger of breaking them(thats why he said fractures, the bone does not break it just fractures but stays together and the body will produce osteo blast to make it stronger and rebuild it)

it works just like that in all that the body can do, but you can not start too young or you will stunt your growth or too old because your body does not repairs its self as well as it used to, which could make the injuries compound and take longer to heal or not at all.

its not "makeing your bones stronger" perse , its just like how you can rip 3 peices of paper in half no problem but put 999 of them like a phone book and its hard af to rip them each peices is weak as it always is, but as a group (when more bone is put on top of the core bone at the nerve, you can break things and feel less or no pain)

its a hard and dangerous game and even if you succeed you can have deformities in your body

This really is cool to see how far the human body can be pushed.
People think becoming physically stronger is achieved by only physical training but training your mind plays a big role.
