Phoenix
Decoded Feedback Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Here I am again
Flying free and powerful
Eternal and legendary
Eternal I am

Burning with passion and life
I am reborn
How long before I collapse in ashes
How long, how long

Another cycle of
Creation and destruction

How long before I collapse in ashes
How long, how long

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to "Phoenix" by Decoded Feedback evoke a powerful and timeless symbol of rebirth and renewal. The title refers to the mythical bird that burns itself to ashes and rises anew from its own flames. The opening lines, "Here I am again, flying free and powerful, eternal and legendary," suggest the phoenix's enduring spirit and the sense of freedom and strength that comes with rebirth. The phrase "eternal I am" reinforces the idea that the phoenix cannot be destroyed or defeated, but instead lives forever in a cycle of creation and destruction.

As the song progresses, the lyrics take on a more ominous tone, with the repeated question, "How long before I collapse in ashes?" This phrase suggests the phoenix's awareness of its own mortality and the knowledge that, no matter how powerful or invincible it may seem, it will ultimately burn out and be consumed by its own fire. This theme of transience and impermanence is echoed in the lines "Another cycle of creation and destruction," which acknowledge the cyclical nature of life and death, and the fact that all things must eventually come to an end.

Overall, "Phoenix" is a powerful meditation on the themes of rebirth, mortality, and the cyclical nature of existence. The lyrics use vivid imagery and concise language to evoke the timeless myth of the phoenix, and to explore the deeper meanings and emotions that this symbol embodies.

Not all are strictly Aggrotech, but they are some great EBM, Cyber, Cyber Metal, Dubstep, DnB.  They all have heavy sounds nonetheless.

SortenRavn X-fusion is what I first listened to in terms of Aggrotech.

After that it was all Youtube related videos.  Click on them until you get into the weird section of Youtube... like cats being dumb or some shit like that.

This is how very early aggrotech sounded. Harsh, minimal techno structures and martial rhythms with powernoise elements. You can hear how supersaw (or hoover) is in background along with GUITARS! Later Agonoize destroyed it by created Hellectro trance crap. Noitekk created harsh electro against it but they failed. This song was my gate to electro-industrial music as everything was like Agonoize in that time. In Europe.
