Got a smile that tendy wide
Everything you say you tell me baby
And my heart just fills with pride
Cause I got
Something to shout about
Oh yes I have
Gonna tell the whole wide world
Something to shout about
Oh yes I have
Say ya gonna be my girl
(Instrumental)
I guess that anyone can see that I'm a dreamer
I always dream of you
I don't care if you say that I'm a dreamer
Since the day my dream came true
Cause I got
Something to shout about
Oh yes I have
Gonna tell the whole wide world
Well I've got
Something to shout about
Oh yes I have
Say ya gonna be my girl
Hey yeah
(Instrumental)
Hey
I got
Something to shout about
Oh yes I have
Gonna tell the whole wide world
Well I've got
Something to shout about
Oh yes I have
Say ya gonna be my girl
(Instrumental)
I wanna everyone to know why I'm happy
Got a smile that's tendy wide
Everyday you say you love me baby
And my heart just fills with pride
Cause I got
Something to shout about
Oh yes I have
Gonna tell the whole wide world
Well I've got
Something to shout about
Oh yes I have
Say ya gonna be my girl
Well I got
Something to shout about
Oh yes I have
Gonna tell the whole wide world
Yes I've got
Something to shout about
Oh yes I have
Say ya gonna be my girl
Hey
Say ya gonna be my girl
Hey yeah
Say ya gonna be my girl
Well
Say ya gonna be my girl
Yeah
The song "Slow Twistin'" by Dee Dee Sharp is a joyful and lively ode to being in love. The lyrics reveal that the singer is thrilled to be with the person they love, and that their love brings them immense happiness, which they want to shout about to the world. The singer is proud of their relationship and is excited to share their joy with everyone around them. They express their love in a number of ways, including a big smile that's "tendy" (tender), and the feeling of their heart filling with pride every time their love speaks to them.
Through the melody and rhythm of the song, Sharp communicates the excitement and fun of being in a relationship. The instrumental parts of the song, especially, capture the joy of the physical act of dancing (since this is a song about the twist), and the dreamy quality of being in love. The repetition of the chorus both emphasizes the singer's excitement about their love, and emphasizes the joy and simplicity of the twist dance.
What is especially notable about this type of song is that it reflects a youthful energy and a freedom to enjoy life. It is about expressing oneself, physically and emotionally, rather than being weighed down by the burdens of adulthood. It is a song that invites listeners to let go of their inhibitions and join in the fun.

This is my ring tone. The baby boomer black folks lose their minds (in a positive way, mind you) and twist with me even if we're in line at the Dollar Tree. 😂❤
