It's Ok It's Allright
Def Dames Dope Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Well itβ€²s OK
Well it's all right
Now is that nasty or what
Well itβ€²s OK

Check this out, who do you think I am
Talkin' about a thing, I don't stand for that
Iβ€²m a Def Dame Dope, Iβ€²m never alone
I got my bigidi-back through and that is so
Def - dynamic, Dames - don't panic
Dopeβ€²s for frantic, a romantic
What do you think about that
DDD as babe's got back
Drop some flava, go like wild
This a nasty style (oh yeah oh yeah oh yeah)
And it feels so good, I know it should
And it doesnβ€²t matter whether you stay for good
Indeed indeed, that's the way we see it
Chillinβ€² at the pit (oh yeah oh yeah oh yeah)
There's no need for explanation
This are the new generation

Well it's OK, alright (ah-ha), I can live with that
Itβ€²s OK, alright (oh yeah), whatcha think about that
Itβ€²s OK, alright (mmm hmm), I can live with that
It's OK (oh yeah), alright, whatcha think about that (thatβ€²s right)

Stay with me if you're ready to party
Thinkinβ€² about it, thinkin' about it, pumpinβ€² hardy
Work your body like I do with mine
If you like to have a good, I say, a good time
If you want to go berzerk, totally outta control
No need to hold back, let us go, let us go
Four three two one, Def Dames Dope on
Turn it on, do you wanna wanna get some
OK now, that's no obligation
But an invitation (oh yeah oh yeah oh yeah)
No matter how you look, how you dress, how you smell
Us gonna jam from heaven to hell
So now you know, that's how it goes
Thatβ€²s how it flows (oh yeah oh yeah oh yeah)
Iβ€²m hangin' in wide on the tip of your nose
So you better better better stay close

Well itβ€²s OK, alright (ah-ha), I can live with that
It's OK, alright (oh yeah), whatcha think about that
Itβ€²s OK, alright (mmm hmm), I can live with that
It's OK (oh yeah), alright, whatcha think about that (thatβ€²s right)

Come on everybody, let your body move into the rhythm
Come on everybody, let your body move into the rhythm

Well It's Ok
Well it's all right (mmm yeah yeah yeah, mmm yeah yeah yeah)
Go ahead (mmm yeah yeah yeah, mmm yeah yeah yeah)
Play me, play p-p-p-p-play me

Def - dynamic, Dames - donβ€²t panic
Dopeβ€²s for frantic
Four three two one, Def Dames Dope on
Turn it up, turn it up

Well it's OK, alright (ah-ha), I can live with that
Itβ€²s OK, alright (oh yeah), whatcha think about that
It's OK, alright (mmm hmm), I can live with that
Itβ€²s OK (oh yeah), alright, whatcha think about that (that's right)

Well itβ€²s OK, alright (ah-ha), I can live with that
It's OK, alright (oh yeah), whatcha think about that

This is a great techno/pop tune! Heard it today for the first time on the radio and had to shazam it to get the band's name and here I am in the evening jamming to this single (downloaded instantly their album and 3 singles) πŸ˜œπŸ˜»πŸ™†πŸ‘¦πŸ’ͺ

Def Dames Dope (DDD) was a girl group from Belgium in the 1990s, most successful from 1993 to 1996. They released another single in 2002.
The group was initially composed of the two sisters Larissa and Axana Ceulemans as well as Yousra Lemaire (nicknamed TRS). Larissa married Berre Bergen (who played bass with the Belgian band De Kreuners) and left the band. Ingrid Gerits (nicknamed H2O) and Edith Verlinden (nicknamed Tabasco) have joined Def Dames Dope. Axana (nicknamed Snake) composed many of the lyrics and music, and the group was a project of techno producers Phil Wilde and Jean-Paul De Coster (best known for his 2 Unlimited project).
During the summer of 1993, Def Dam Dopes held the position of the number one of the charts of Belgium for 11 weeks and won the prize of the hit of the radio station "Radio 2" with the song "It's Ok, It's All Right”.

Doubt these chicks ever made it that far. They were big in Belgium, but apart from us and perhaps the Netherlands, I doubt anyone ever heard of 'em back then.
