Dekker Desmond Lyrics

This is the time that we all should live as one, brothers
This is the time that we all should live as one, sisters
So come along brothers and come along sisters

U.N.I.T.Y., this unity
So come along brothers and sisters, woah

Aah aah, we must live as one
'Coz two wrongs can never make a right
Look into the age that we're living in today, brothers
Look into the age that we're living in today, sisters
So come along brothers and come along sisters

U.N.I.T.Y., this unity
So come along brothers and sisters, woah

Aaa, aaa, aah
Look into the age that we're living in today, brothers
Look into the age that we're living in today, sisters
So come along brothers and come along sisters

U.N.I.T.Y., this unity
U.N.I.T.Y., this unity

This takes me back.

Everyone at my grandparents house, me and my cousins making up noise, grandad and uncles watching the boxing, grandma and aunts arguing in the kitchen, occasionally barking orders at the men and songs like this in the background until a typically immense Jamaican feast arrives that kept you in ready-made Ackee and Saltfish for a few days.

I'm glad the last of them passed just before the pandemic. Looking after them with their Parkinson's and Alzheimer's would have gotten complicated and we wouldn't have been able to have a proper funeral.

RED LETTER DAYS

A welder by trade, used to sing on the job and finally after enough ppl telling him you ARE a singer, he believed and the rest is history. I met members of the band as a 5 or 6 year old in Jam Rock thru my cousin "Dilly." One drove a funny little Brit car called an Anglia. Even saw Demons love in NY in the 90s.
