The Call
Deliverance Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I had no friend
I was a prisoner of these
Of these four walls that surround me
But then
I heard him
A voice calling me
My friend, you know the answer
But will you heed the call
I know you want to reach out and touch Him
But He can't answer if you don't ask at all
Do you hear Him
He's calling out to you
Do you hear Jesus calling?
He's calling you
The lyrics of The Call by Deliverance are very straightforward, describing how the singer was once lost and blinded by Satan, trapped within four walls with no friends to turn to. However, the song takes a positive turn when the singer hears a voice calling out to him, and he realizes that this voice is the answer to all of his problems. This voice is Jesus, and the song encourages the listener to heed the call, reach out to Jesus and ask for help if they need it.
The song's message is simple yet powerful, with the lyrics invoking a sense of hope and promise. The idea that there is someone out there who can offer salvation, comfort and companionship to those in need is a comforting thought, and the song highlights the importance of faith in troubled times. Additionally, the lyrics encourage the listener to take action in reaching out to Jesus, and not to wait for him to come to them.
Overall, The Call by Deliverance is an uplifting, inspirational track that serves to remind us that even in our darkest moments, there is always hope.
