And all the way outside my door
All the weight of the world
All the weight of the world
Dream on, dream on
Dream yourself a ride
But it's been so long, so long
When you wake up, wake up
Lift your head up
Take a look around now
Take a look around now
When you wake up, wake up...
Keep on, keep on
Standing in the corner
And i'm not saying it's your fault
But history must haunt ya'
When you wake up, wake up
Lift your head up
Take a look around now
Take a look around now
When you wake up, wake up
Take a look around
All the way around my window
And all the way outside my door
All the weight of the world
All the weight of the world
Move on, move on
Find yourself another
But every time you close your eyes
The silence might surround ya'
So when you wake up, wake up
Lift your head up
You gotta wake up, wake up
Get your head up
When you gonna wake up, wake up
Get your head up
Take a look around
Ooooo ooooo
Ooooo ooooo
And all the way around my window
And all the way outside my door
All the weight of the world
All the weight of the world
No, no more
I can't pretend it's nothing i cannot ignore
What's happening outside my door
Wake up, wake up
It's time to run
The lyrics to Delphic's song "Atlas" convey a sense of feeling trapped and suffocated by the weight of the world. The opening line describes the weight being present outside and inside the singer's space, suggesting that they cannot escape the pressure no matter where they go. The chorus encourages the listener to dream and to keep going, but also acknowledges that it has been a long time since they tried to escape their situation. The verses then shift to observing someone else who is standing in the corner, someone who is also trapped by their own history. The second half of the song becomes more urgent, with the singer urging the listener to wake up and run. The final repetitions of the chorus add a sense of determination to the song, suggesting that it is time to take action and move on from the weight that has been holding them down.
Overall, the lyrics to "Atlas" offer a relatable and powerful message about the struggles of feeling trapped by the pressures of the world. It encourages listeners to dream, try, and escape their situations, while also acknowledging that it is not always easy to do so.
