Goodrem has to date achieved nine #1 ARIA singles and multiple UK Top 10 singles. Her debut album, 2003's Innocent Eyes, made her one of Australia's highest-selling female recording artists, spending 29 weeks at #1, and selling over a million copies in Australia and 2.5 million worldwide. While 2004's Mistaken Identity was unable to match the commercial success of its predecessor, it entered the ARIA charts at #1 and gained multi-platinum status. To date, Goodrem has sold 3.5 million albums worldwide. In 2005, she embarked on The Visualise Tour, her debut concert tour of Australia.
In 2003, at the age of 18 and amidst her blooming career, Goodrem was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, a form of cancer. She has since made a full recovery and now spends much of her time promoting cancer charities.
Goodrem was invited to write and sing the theme song of the 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games. Named 'Together We Are One', the track was co-written with her ex, Brian McFadden and long-time collaborator Guy Chambers. 'Together We Are One' was not originally planned for release as a single, but due to Australian public demand, it was released and peaked at #2 on the official ARIA charts. She was later also invited to perform the theme for the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, with "Welcome to Earth".

Safe To Believe
Delta Goodrem Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
No strength to believe it, like a flame that can burn in a moment
A heart grieved with sadness, I feel that was hard to let go
Then she found an angel, the love that she never know
So lay with me, I've been so scared to breathe
You make it safe to believe in all that I am
Take my hand, love me for who I am
You make it safe to believe
She had forgotten the beauty she lived in her dreams
Her heart had stopped hoping, broken by what she had seen
The stars constellation, aligned houses bright as the sun
Two hearts resonating, two lives found living as one
Lay with me, I've been so scared to breathe
You make it safe to believe in all that I am
Take my hand, love me for who I am
Teach me to dream again, it's all that I need
You make it safe
Without catch times of your life
Is a spirit that hears you're right
Lay with me, I've been so scared to breathe,
You make it safe to believe in all that I am
Lay with me, I've been so scared to breathe
You make it safe to believe in all that I am
Take my hand, love me for who I am
To dream again it's all that I need
You make it safe to believe
You make it safe to believe
The lyrics to Delta Goodrem's "Safe to Believe" are about finding hope and love that makes it safe to believe in oneself again. The song tells the story of a woman who has been through a lot of pain and grief, but finds a new sense of hope and love in her life through the love of her partner. In the first verse, the woman has found a secret hiding behind a closed door – perhaps a metaphor for her own emotional pain and trauma. She has struggled to believe in herself and has been left feeling sad and lost. But then she finds an angel - her partner - who brings a new sense of love and happiness into her life.
Throughout the song, the lyrics describe the woman's journey to healing and finding herself again, with the help of her partner. The chorus is a plea for her partner to stay with her, to hold her hand and teach her to dream again. Ultimately, the song is about the transformative power of love and the hope that it brings.
Overall, "Safe to Believe" is a heartfelt, uplifting song about finding hope and love after a difficult time. It celebrates the transformative power of love and the resilience of the human spirit.
