Demi Riquísimo:
In a relatively short career spanning just over five years, Demi has done things his way. Wherever he plays the result is the same, and the worldwide audience cannot help but take notice. With his playful audacity and boisteros approach, Demi exuberates only what some DJs can only dream of behind the decks, and this is really ONLY the start for the young Londoner.
His diversity in his performance are both consistent and memorable, always striving to create the whole picture whether over a 2 or 10 hour set. Often found to maintain a steady tempo, Demi works a lot more with the internals of a track to make it 'feel' faster. He knows exactly what he’s doing in terms of creating a journey. This organic approach is never over-thought or planned out, but just oozes out of him very naturally and successfully. It is his humbleness and boundless energy which feeds off anybody who comes across this young man.
Demi’s meteoric rise has been down to a combination of sheer hard work, talent and luck. But as Demi says, “you make your own luck”
Since making his debut holding down an exclusive summer residency in one of Indonesia’s biggest venues at Double Six, and reaching the final of Cream’s Resident competition in 2002, Demi is now in-demand globally from promoters and a host of the elite DJ's requesting to have him perform alongside them.
Highlights include his much publicised visits spinning with Tenaglia in NYC, Miami WMC and most recently in London where both wowed the audiences at Heaven. Pacha debut alongside Laurent Garnier and Tong which had Tong stating on record in DJ Magazine, saying his set was the best warm-up set he’d heard in 2004.
On top of this, spell-binding performances at world reknowned venues such as Cavo Paradiso, Crobar NYC, Avalon and at his Deeper Substance London residency among others have all not gone unnoticed –
He received two separate nominations for `Best Newcomer` and `Breakthrough DJ` at the 2004 DJ Pacha Awards and House Music Awards 2004. Demi is widely acknowledged as being one of the rising stars in the global dance music community.
Demi's DSR label will be showcasing his long awaiting original material which have already featured on some high profile compilations this year alone.
There is some outstanding music to follow as well from the 16bit Lolitas, Shafunkers, B.Original and Harry Peat. This is just the beginning.
Along with the original material comes the string of remixes which have been carefully selected. Whilst many artists are churning out remixes by the dozen, Demi's selective approach to remix work is simply quality not quantity.
A chance meeting with Trifactor from LA led them to collaborating on one of their favourite David Bowie tracks. "Lets's Dance not only received global support from the DJ's but was also picked up by EMI who released the single on their ‘Club Bowie’ remix compilation.
Demi has also finished up a remix of Mashtronic's Supernova which will be released on the excellent SexonWax label and also another remix under his alternative Shepherds guise for Rob da Bank's Sunday Best label called Plastic Operator - Folder.
With so many years ahead of him it’s scary to think how good Demi is going to get. If his career as a DJ is set, he is still warming us up……

Are faded from the washer
I can barely just make out your face
Food you saved for later
In my refrigerator
It's been too long since later never came
I knowOne day eventually
Yeah, I know
One day I'll have to let it all go
But I keep it just in case
Yeah, I keep it just in case
In case
You don't find what you're looking for
In case
You're missing what you had before
In case
You change your mind, I'll be waiting here
In case
You just want to come home
Strong enough to leave you
But weak enough to need you
Cared enough to let you walk away
I took that dirty jacket
From the trash right where you left it
'Cause I couldn't stand to see it go to waste
I know
One day eventually
Yeah, I know
One day I'll have to let it all go
Yeah, I keep it just in case
In case
You don't find what you're looking for
In case
You're missing what you had before
In case
You change your mind, I'll be waiting here
In case
You just want to come home
In case
You're looking in that mirror one day
And miss my arms
How they wrapped around your waist
I say that you can love me again
Even if it isn't the case
Ohh
You don't find what you're looking for
Ohh
You're missing my love
You don't find what you're looking for
In case
You're missing what you had before
In case
You change your mind, I'll be waiting here
In case
You just want to come home
In case
Yeah, ooh
The song "In Case" by Demi Lovato is about holding onto things from a past relationship just in case the other person comes back. The lyrics suggest that the singer has been holding onto various items that remind them of the person they used to be with, such as faded pictures and food that was meant for later. The singer is aware that they will eventually have to let go of these things, but for now they are holding onto them in case the other person returns.
The lyrics also suggest that the singer is conflicted about their feelings for the other person. They acknowledge that they were strong enough to leave, but they are also weak enough to need that person back in their life. They cared enough to let the other person walk away, but they still have hope that they will return. The song ends with the singer saying that even if it's not the case, they believe the other person can love them again.
Overall, "In Case" is a bittersweet song about holding onto past memories and hoping for a second chance at love. It captures the complicated feelings that come with the end of a relationship and the desire to keep a connection alive.

Pictures in my pocket
I have old, worn-out photographs of us in my pocket
Are faded from the washer
The pictures have become blurred because they went through the wash
I can barely just make out your face
I can hardly see your face in the pictures anymore
Food you saved for later
I have some of your uneaten food in my fridge
In my refrigerator
The food that you left behind is still in my fridge
It's been too long since later never came
It's been a while since you never came back for your food
I know
I understand
One day eventually
One day in the future
Yeah, I know
Yes, I understand
One day I'll have to let it all go
I will eventually have to move on and let go of our past
But I keep it just in case
However, I still hold onto these things just in case

I found your dirty jacket
From the trash right where you left it
I got it from the trash where you discarded it

Am I the only one that cries on her songs? Its just that, her songs are so deep and meaningful. You can FEEL her emotions, and that's a talent that not everyone has. This woman inspired me to stop self harming. I watched a lot of interviews, and her story really made me cry. What I admire the most of Demi, is how bad her self harm was, and still, she managed to get the strenght and say "I need to change". Not everyone has that kind of will power. I think its great how much she has improved. From eating disorders, to a healthy lifestyle. From self harm, to be so self confident. This woman is TRULY an inspiration, and I honestly don't know why would anyone hate her, all she does is dedicate her life to her fans, and helping them to "Stay Strong".
