Their debut and currently only album, Riders of the Apocalypse, is a concept album partly based on theological and historical elements that circle around the biblical Riders Of The Apocalypse characters.
Johnsson has since departed Demonoid and on 5th October, 2007 a replacement frontman was announced in the shape of Dark Funeral, God Among Insects, Dominion Caligula and ex-Hypocrisy vocalist, Emperor Magus Caligula (aka Masse Broberg).

The lyrics to "Evocation" by Demonoid speak of a group of people calling upon their Gods of Wrath, asking them to strike with swords of fire and accept the blood of man that they have sacrificed. This invocation is used to bring forth a genocide, which they have invoked through these prayers. The group sings of how their Gods have given them the power to rule, to take away and to feed on hatred and spilled blood, making sure they are well-fed. They praise their Gods for finally awakening them and offering them eternal reign, turning night and day into red as they stay in this position of power.
As the song progresses, the group acknowledges that man has chosen his own destiny and that this period of reign has finally come to an end. The Gods of Wrath have granted their wishes, but now they will lay to rest in death. The lyrics hint at a sense of nihilism and destruction at the hands of these powerful beings who have been called upon, a theme commonly explored in heavy metal and rock music.
