With their latest release "Tarassis", dEMOTIONAL has proven themselves as a solid six-man-army worthy that place. dEMOTIONAL has become notorious for their energetic live shows and their way of combining modern guitar riffs and the two singers vocals. "Tarassis" is recorded, mixed & produced at Studio PH" by Pontus Hjelm (Dead By April), and it is the product of a young metalband that are experimenting with different genres and tempos, though at the same time keeping their distinctive sound that made them so popular. Just like the album "State: In Denial", the new album "Tarassis" went straight in to the national album chart. After spending a big amount of their time in 2014 writing new material and recording the new album, 2015 dEMOTIONAL successfully headed out as main support to Dead By April on "The Stronger Tour all over Europe.

Don't Wake Me Up
Demotional Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
We're only human for Heaven′s sake
It's hard to live with open eyes
So you try to turn away
You try to block it out
The facts on the screen are something I try to deny somehow
I've seen it before, yeah, I′ve seen it before
But I still choose to ignore
Don′t wake me up
I'm not strong enough
I just want it to stop
Not ready to see that
This world gone to fuck
I know it′s a dream but
Please don't wake me up
Don′t wake me up
Fantasy of black and white
Though I know that it's not quite right
Twist and turn my reality
I justify, defend my insanity
Don′t wakе me up
I'm not strong enough
I just want it to stop
Not ready to see that
This world gonе to fuck
I know it's a dream but
Please don′t wake me up
Don′t wake me up
Don't wake me up
I′m not strong enough
I just want it to stop
Not ready to see that
This world gone to fuck
I know it's a dream but
Please don′t wake me up
Don't wake me up
We choose this blindness
Self-made blindfold
We scream in darkness
Our hearts growing cold
Truth is a burden
Are you ready?
Ready for change
Don′t wake me up
I'm not strong enough
I just want it to stop
Not ready to see that
This world gone to fuck
I know it's a dream but
Please don′t wake me up
Don′t wake me up
Don't lift me up
I need to do this by myself
Don′t disrupt
Everything's built up to this
Feeling pumped
Time to prove them who I am
What I′ve got
This is my shot
Don't wake me up
In Demotional's song Don't Wake Me Up, the lyrics capture the overwhelming feeling of desperation and hopelessness that comes from being confronted with the harsh realities of the world today. The first verse highlights the difficulty in facing the truth that we try to avoid and ignore. The second verse speaks to the internal conflict of justifying one's own distorted view of reality.
The chorus "Don’t wake me up, I’m not strong enough, I just want it to stop, not ready to see that this world gone to fuck" is a cry out for a solution. The repetition of the verses and chorus towards the end of the song shows the gradual progression of the fight against complacency and the need for change.
Demotional's lyrics touch on the struggles of wanting to avoid reality but knowing that the truth must be acknowledged. The song captures the feeling of being stuck in a cycle of denial and the desire for change, but not knowing where to start.
