Ferrer’s interest in production and dance first led him into the world of early 90’s electronic music. After a number of years working with the critically acclaimed Synewave label from New York, he connected with Kerri Chandler who re-introduced him to the soul and funk of music from his youth via House. Ferrer’s love of such artists as T-Connection, DJ Rodgers, early Herbie Hancock, early Cameo and Confunkshun finally found ways to surface in his music. Chandler instantly recognized Ferrer’s talent for production and business sense and together they formed Sfere Recordings in 1998 (Sfere being a name derived from Chandler’s Shelter / Ibadan classic “Atmosphere” combined with Ferrer’s old techno alias “Aurasphere”). The label was devised with the ambitions of exploring many different aspects of soulful house including Brazilian, Gospel and Jazz sounds. The emphasis at Sfere is clearly, however, focused on songs since both partners believe in the timelessness of a great song.
Ferrer’s DJ career runs in tangent with his increased visibility as a producer and his creative reach covers five continents. December 2003 saw his return to South Africa for a Heineken sponsored series of events alongside UK DJ powerhouse, Pete Tong. He has traveled to multiple European markets and played with regularity in many of the major venues in countries such as the UK (MOS, Soul Heaven, Back To Basics, Ultragroove, Angel Deelite, Neighbourhood), France (Cheers, Sunslice Festival, L’Ambassade, La Noche Festival, Queen), Scandinavia (Hultsfred Festival, Jeriko), Benulux (Pizzaz!), Russia (Propaganda), Greece (Balux), Italy (Red Zone), Japan (Module) and S. E. Asia (Club Ohm and Rouge). In North America he has crossed the continent with performances in NYC, San Diego, San Francisco, Chicago, Miami, LA, Toronto and Montreal.

Miscellaneous
D. W. Suite (Dennis Wilson Tribute)
A. The Wish
If we go, go insane
We can all go together
In this wild, wanton world
I want to go, go forever
I want to go, go forever
It's just a memory
It's just a memory
It's just a memory . . .
Gone forever . . .
Gone forever . . .
B. The Prayer
The closing of a chapter
The opening of a door
Brings forth life
Where there was no life before
I won't be here; I'll be watching from above
Always do you should
Always be good
And when push comes to shove
Pray for guidance from above
Shadow all your hopes with love
Live your life without a doubt
Outside in, inside out
Pray for guidance from above
Shadow all your hopes with love
Never be afraid, never be afraid
Pray for guidance from above
The closing of a chapter
The opening of a door
Brings forth life
Where there was no life before.
C. The Reflection
(instrumental)
The lyrics in Dennis Ferrer's song "Destination" are divided into three parts which seem to represent different stages of life. In the first part, "The Wish," the lyrics express a desire to embrace the world and all its chaos, even if it leads to insanity. The message appears to be a call for individuals to take risks and live fully in the present, regardless of the consequences. The repetition of the phrase "gone forever" at the end seems to suggest that the singer is aware of the impermanence of life.
The second part of the song, "The Prayer," takes on a more reflective and spiritual tone. The lyrics urge listeners to live their lives guided by love and faith, not fear. The idea of watching from above implies a belief in an afterlife, where one can still observe the world after passing away. The closing lines, "The closing of a chapter, the opening of a door, brings forth life where there was no life before," suggest that death is just a transition to a new beginning.
"The Reflection," the final instrumental part of the song, concludes the journey. The absence of lyrics allows for a moment of contemplation, as listeners are free to interpret the meaning of the song and apply it to their own lives.
