Follow Me
Denver. John Lyrics

To be so in love with you and so alone
Follow me where I go, what I do and who I know
Make it part of you to be a part of me
Follow me, up and down all the way and all around
Take my hand and say you'll follow me
You know it's been a long, long time
I've tried to find the way that I can make you understand
The way I feel about you, just how much I need you
To be there where I can talk to you
When there's no one else around
Follow me where I go, what I do and who I know
Make it part of you to be a part of me
Follow me, up and down all the way and all around
Take my hand and say you'll follow me
You see, I'd like to share my life with you
And show you things I've seen
Places that I'm going to, places where I've been
To have you there beside me, never be alone
And all the time that you're with me
We will be at home
Follow me where I go, what I do, who I know
Make it part of you to be a part of me
Follow me, up and down all the way
Take my hand and I will follow you
"Follow Me" by John Denver is a song about love, trust, and the desire for companionship. The opening lines of the song describe how hard it is for the singer to be in love with someone when they are alone. The singer is asking their lover to follow them, to become a part of them, and to be there for them when no one else is around. The song is a plea for companionship, for someone to share their life experiences with, and to never feel alone again.
The lyrics are simple and direct, but they convey a powerful sense of longing and desire. They express the singer's yearning for someone to share their life with, to see and do new things together, and to have a partner who will always be there for them. The upbeat melody and Denver's soft, melodic voice add to the overall effect of the song, making it a favorite among many fans.
Overall, "Follow Me" is a song about the importance of love and companionship in our lives, and the need to have someone by our side to share our joys and sorrows.
