Read Full Bio ↴Deponeye formed in 1998 following the renaming of the band from Kain.
Following a series of great supports including Dodgy, Kirk Brandons Spear of Destiny and MoSolid Gold, the bands original members left to pursue oher things leaving Roy & Micky to bring in drummer Pete Jeffery & Bassist Alex Harker.
Deponeye quickly set about making a name for themselves in the industry and finally in 2004 secured two tracks (Anger Management & Tick Tock) onto one of 2004s biggest selling computer games entitled Flatout sold on the PS2, PC & XBOX platforms.
The game sent deponeyes profile into the stratosphere and consequently that Xmas contact was made from Revolver Records concerning signing the guys. Unfortunately, before any deal could be made, the band split up in mid 2005.
Roy found himself drawn back into the band lifestyle late 2006 with a new line up and subsequently decided that the name deponeye was to be left behind. Following a series of line up changes, his new band Exit State have continued in the same succesful vein as deponeye.
The essence of deponeye has been carried on in Roys new band Exit State - check it out here

Tick Tock
Deponeye Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Especially when it's going fine don't rock the boat it leads to pain
Re-thinking, it's possible that it would always go this way
You try to convince yourself that it could've been so different
And the time we had, meant a lot to me
I didn't think we'd get on like we did
It's always the way
It's something i was never meant to feel
And now it grinds me
A part of me wishes that i'd never met you on that day
Cos everything would be OK just as it was before you came
But then i get to thinking about acting crazy as we did
Then bitterness and regret dissapear replaced with happiness
What mostly bothers me, we don't communicate
It didn't seem a problem for us once
But then the clock stopped
And the time we had, meant a lot to me
It's just another chapter in my life
It's so typicalβ¦
This always happens to me
Nothing is ever easy
Bad luck it follows me
It's time it stopped
The first verse of "Tick Tock" by Deponeye deals with the aftermath of a failed relationship. The lyrics suggest that the singer made some poor decisions that ultimately led to the end of the relationship. The line "rethinking, it's possible that it would always go this way" suggests that the singer is trying to come to terms with the fact that the relationship was doomed from the start. The second half of the verse reveals that the singer is having trouble moving on and is struggling with regret.
The chorus of "Tick Tock" reflects on the time the singer spent with their former partner. Despite their initial reservations, the singer found themselves drawn to their partner and enjoyed the time they spent together. However, the relationship's end has left the singer feeling lost and confused. The line "when the clocks they stopped, don't know why it hurt" suggests that the singer is struggling to understand why the end of the relationship has had such an impact on them.
