After the band signed to Viva Hate Records they re-released the debut album with a new artwork, bonus song Ruhe and drums played by Christian Bass who left the band in 2011 because of lack of time. A new drummer Tobias Schuler from Fuck You And Die completes line-up and that is time for a new record Agonie EP.
Their second full-length album Unstille came out on June 29th 2012 on Viva Hate Records and Stellar was released on March 23rd 2015 via Season of Mist. Their latest album Finisterre was released in 2017.

The lyrics of Der Weg einer Freiheit's song Ein letzter Tanz depict a person who is deeply in love with someone who has passed away. The singer admires the beauty of the deceased but cannot bear the thought of seeing their lifeless body in a casket. The singer kneels before the oak coffin and cannot bring himself to look inside. The desire to be with the loved one in the afterlife is so strong that the singer wishes he could die with them. The lyrics also address the Grim Reaper, asking why they took the singer's loved one and reminding them that death will come for everyone eventually.
The second verse of the song introduces the concept of the candle flame. The singer compares themselves to a wick that is lifeless until it is set alight. The hope is that the loved one will rise from the dead, just as the docht (German for “wick”) comes to life when it is exposed to fire. The lyrics end with a plea to the fire to consume the singer and bring the loved one back to life.
