A pesar de su corta vida (en una época en la que el rock venezolano no contaba con la difusión de hoy día), de haber lanzado un solo disco y de la prematura muerte de su líder Cayayo Troconis, Dermis Tatú se ha convertido con los años en una banda de culto y su influencia musical es reclamada constantemente por los nuevos grupos de la escena del rock venezolano.
Dermis Tatú estuvo conformada por Cayayo Troconis (voz y guitarra), Héctor Castillo (bajo) y Sebastián Araujo (batería). En escena, contaron en numerosas ocasiones con la participación de Abraham Cangrejo García, de la Seguridad Nacional, como guitarra rítmica, coros y armónica. Otros músicos que colaboraron con la banda en vivo en diversas ocasiones fueron el argentino Pablo Sbarglia durante su estadía en Buenos Aires y el también ex-Sentimiento Muerto, "Pingüino" Echezuria.
La violó, la mató, la picó fue un disco de estudio de la banda de rock venezolana Dermis Tatú, lanzado en el año 1995. El disco fue grabado en los Estudios Móvil de Buenos Aires, Argentina en 1993.

Dermis Tatu, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden... eran bandas de rock "alternativo" que formaron parte del movimiento grunge de principios de los 90's...pero esto es rock venezolano, grabé este video en 1994 y te aseguro que estos chamos eran auténticos. Ademas, Cayayo solo hubo uno :-)

Yo estuve en ese toque del 94 en la Plaza de los Museos, cuando el nuevas bandas de ese año. Si no me equivoco fue el cierre del festival. Uno o dos dias antes habia visto a tambíen a La Calle en uno de los salones del ateneo y recuerdo que en ese momento me gustaba mas la propuesta de La calle que Dermis Tatu. Si no me equivoco La Calle tambíen tocó ese dia del cierre. Al final Dermis Tatu terminó teniendo mas trascendecia y La Calle paso sin pena ni gloria.

Como es posible que aun no tengamos un disco compilatorio de la musica de Dermis Tatu, de Cayayo, es que no valoramos el buen Rock Nacional ? cayayo es nuestro jim Morrison, nuestro, venezolano, su madre las fucking disqueras que no reconocen el valor de lo nuestro.
