Derozer's song "Black Out" addresses the issue of human arrogance and how we have gone too far with our beliefs in our own power, causing damage to the environment and taking for granted the resources that we need for survival. The lyrics start by highlighting the all-powerful society that most people believe in and how it appears to be immune to any adversity. However, this society exploits nature without any rules or loyalty, poisoning everything in its path in the name of profit, and believing that it has the ultimate solution to everything.
The chorus "Black Out Black Out" represents the impending doom that will befall us if we don't act fast enough to protect the environment. The equilibrium of the ecosystem is fragile and we have forgotten this, thinking ourselves to be invincible and the only ones in control. However, when the world retaliates, we will feel pain and realize our unavoidable vulnerability.
