In early 2000, both Roberson and Luckett were replaced with Williams and Farrah Franklin; however, Franklin quit after five months, leaving the group as a trio. Their third album, Survivor (2001), whose themes the public interpreted as a channel to the group's experience, produced the worldwide hits "Independent Women", "Survivor" and "Bootylicious. In 2001, they announced a hiatus to pursue solo careers. The trio reunited three years later for the release of their fifth and final studio album, Destiny Fulfilled (2004), which spawned the international hits "Lose My Breath" and "Soldier (feat. T.I. & Lil' Wayne)". Since the group's official disbandment in 2006, Knowles, Rowland and Williams have reunited several times, including at the 2013 Super Bowl halftime show and 2018 Coachella festival.
Destiny's Child has sold more than sixty million records worldwide to date. Billboard ranks the group as one of the greatest musical trios of all time, the ninth most successful artist/band of the 2000s, placed the group 68th in its All-Time Hot 100 Artists list in 2008 and in December 2016, the magazine ranked them as the 90th most successful dance club artist of all time. The group was nominated for 14 Grammy Awards, winning twice for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals and once for Best R&B Song.
Now That She's Gone

You wanna come back
Is that a fact
You got it like that
You made me wait too long
I'm gone
Now that she's gone
Is that a fact
You got it like that
You made me wait too long
I'm gone
Take her to the movies
Dinner all the time
Shopping sprees for her
On me you never spent a dime
But I was there for you
When you had nothing at all
Then you got a little job
She's the one you call on, and now
Now that she's gone
You wanna come back
Is that a fact
You got it like that
You made me wait too long
I'm gone
Now that she's gone
You wanna come back
Is that a fact
You got it like that
You made me wait too long
I'm gone
Oh no, you're taking me for granted
But you only get one chance
Then you left me hurting
And it won't happen again no, no
So she finally left you
It ain't no surprise
That you miss your water
'Cause your well went dry
Now that she's gone
You wanna come back
Is that a fact
You got it like that
You made me wait too long
I'm gone
Now that she's gone
You wanna come back
Is that a fact
You got it like that
You made me wait too long
I'm gone
Understand, I understand
Why I think you I want you back
After what you did to me
Did you think you blinded me
Boy you know, whatever you do
It will all come back to you
'Cause you're trying to play me like a fool
I just wanna say it again
Understand, I understand
Why I think you I want you back
After what you did to me
Did you think you blinded me
Boy you know, whatever you do
It will all come back to you
It will come back to you
Now that she's gone
Crawling back
Got it like that
You made me wait too long
I'm gone
Now that she's gone
Come back
You made me wait too long
I'm gone
Now that she's gone
You wanna come back
Is that a fact
You got it like that
You made me wait too long
I'm gone
Now that she's gone
You wanna come back
Is that a fact
You got it like that
You made me wait too long
I'm gone
Now that she's gone
You wanna come back
Is that a fact
You got it like that
You made me wait too long
I'm gone
Now that she's gone
You wanna come back
Is that a fact
You got it like that
You made me wait too long
I'm gone
Now that she's gone
You wanna come back
Is that a fact
You got it like that
You made me wait too long
I'm gone
Thou shall not leave me wondering
"Now That She's Gone" is a song by Destiny's Child that features a strong message of female empowerment. The lyrics talk about a man who didn't appreciate the singer while he had her, and now that she's gone, he wants her back. The first verse of the song seems to criticize the man for taking her for granted - he neglected her and didn't spend money on her but now that she has left him, he's wooing her with dinners, movies and gifts. The singer remarks that she was there for him when he had nothing, but he has now turned his back on her.
The chorus of the song is an emphatic statement of her determination to move on without him. She repeats that she's "gone" and reminds the man that he made her wait too long to be treated fairly. The bridge of the song further adds to the sense of female empowerment - the singer says that she understands why he wants her back but warns him that he will not be able to play her like a fool. The song ends with a final repetition of the chorus wherein the singer finally tells the man that he cannot make her wait any longer.
Overall, "Now That She's Gone" is a song that asserts female independence and self-respect. It's a song about moving on from a relationship that wasn't fulfilling and not being swayed by attempts to lure you back into something that wasn't working.
