In the spring of 1996 appeared "Immortelle", the debut album of the band. It proved to tour with Edge of Sanity, Lake of Tears and Sadist, as fast, aggressive live band. Due to the increased band activity, there were some changes in the line-up. However, they did not allow this to bring out the concept and brought 1998 on the label Grind Syndicate Media / NBR their second album "Innoscent" on the market. In the same year they played for the first time at the Wacken Open Air.
In the summer of 1999 they released "Ill-Natured" which was a mixture of death and thrash metal. Two years later album Inwards followed, on which they worked with Andy Classen. Promoting the album they played on various festivals and along many German thrash metal legends such as Kreator, Sodom and Destruction. For the first time they toured in the United States of America.
The release of the 2003 album "Impact" and the double album "Ill-Natured & Innoscent", released under the German label Nuclear Blast, established the band as an accomplished thrash metal act and a lot of people draw comparisons between them and Slayer. "Issue VI", the sixth album, was released in June 2005. Limited Edition includes the video for 'Turn to Ash' and 17 live songs, recorded between 2002 and 2005. On 30 March 2007 the new album "Incinerate" was released in Europe and on April 3 in North America. Dew-Scented released their ninth album, Intermination on June 30, 2015 via Prosthetic Records.
On May 17, 2018, the band announced they had broken up due to conflicting schedules with band members' personal lives.

Unconditional
Dew-Scented Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
The strongest pain is fine to me
Criminal desire
Addictive acts of mind control
Unconditional
Internal pain
The unconditional retreat
Eternal cycles of power
Feed on the weakness of the mass
Beneficial rapture
A saint in the name of decadence
Unconditional
Impending doom
The unconditional retreat awaits
A new world order
But still the same
"What does not kill you"
"Just makes you stronger"
And it does!
Stand still, you suckers, now
This punishment is for you
New world order!
Unconditional
False perception of sense
Unconditional
Witnessing your fall
The lyrics to Dew-Scented's "Unconditional" speaks about thoughts of retribution and the idea that the strongest pain is something that is fine to the singer. It is followed by the mention of criminal desires that lead to addictive acts of mind control. The phrase "Unconditional" is used to describe both internal pain and the unconditional retreat that awaits. The cycle of power is eternal and its strength is drawn from the weakness of the masses. There is a saint who represents the decadent nature of things. Impending doom is mentioned, and the unconditional retreat is presented as something that is inevitable.
The mention of a new world order suggests that things might change, but the singer is skeptical about it, stating that it is still the same. The singer is convinced that what does not kill one will only make them stronger. The singer then addresses those who do nothing but stand still and suck up to the powers that be, warning them that the punishment that is to come is for them. The song ends by repeating the phrase "unconditional" in reference to the false perception of senses and how one is witnessing the fall of those who do nothing.
