She was one of the contestants in the first season of the Dutch edition of the TV-show Idols (2002/2003). She reached the finale, but ended fourth.

A year after her departure from Idols Dewi released her first album 'Know Me'. Its single 'Left of Center' reached the top ten in The Netherlands. Other hits were 'Amazing' and 'When You Walk In The Room, a duet with Jamai, who was her boy-friend at that time.

In 2007 she played in the stage musical Hair, but in april 2008 she returned with a second album, called 'True to my soul'.

Dewi later did little public jam-sessions with friends like Hind or ex-K-otic members Anna and Bouchra.

She resurfaced in 2009 as a "mystery popstar" in the television show 'Popstars'. This season, known artists were given the chance to audition but hidden from the jury, so they would be judged solely on their voice, not their popularity.

In 2010 she is making a comeback with the new single called 'Sour'.
She is having now a labelcontract with Diesel Joy Records.
