Dexter Gordon was the hardest bopping Tenor Sax of his time in my opinion. This Quartet was a force to be reckoned with in their day. Rhythm section like no other.

I taught myself tenor listening to Dex....then to more modern players, but every now and then I go back to Dex and each time hear more things missed earlier. Its his ideas, his rhythm and his soul....wonderful playing.....solid gold....
