N'aria serena doppo na tempesta
Pe'll'aria fresca pare gia' na festa
Che bella cosa na jurnata'e sole
Ma n'atu sole cchiu' bello, oi ne'
'O sole mio sta nfronte a te
'O sole o sole mio
Sta nfronte a te sta nfronte a te
'Na lavannara canta e se ne vanta
E pe'tramente torce, spanne e canta
Luceno'e llastre d'a fenesta toia
Ma n'atu sole cchiu' bello, oi ne'
'O sole mio sta nfronte a te
'O sole o sole mio
Sta nfronte a te sta nfronte a te
Quanno fa notte e'sole se ne scenne
Me vene quase'na malincunia
Soto a fenesta toi restarria
Quando fa notte e'o sole se ne scenne
Ma n'atu sole cchiu' bello, oi ne'
'O sole mio sta nfronte a te
'O sole o sole mio
Sta nfronte a te sta nfronte
The song "O Sole Mio" by Di Capua is a tribute to the beauty of the sun, the clear sky, and the fresh air after a storm. The lyrics evoke a sense of joy and celebration in the air, making the day seem like a festival. The singer marvels at the beauty of the day, but also declares that there is another sun that is even more beautiful, which is the one shining before the person they love. The singer exclaims that the sun is in front of their loved one and shines just as brilliantly as the sun in the sky.
As the evening approaches and the sun begins to set, the singer expresses feelings of melancholy and sadness, almost as if there is a longing for the day to never end. The singer wishes to remain by the side of their loved one and watch the sunset from the window. However, the singer can take heart in the fact that the sun they love is still shining brightly, even if they cannot see it anymore.
The song captures the essence of love and longing beautifully, with the sun serving as a metaphor for the love and the hope that it brings. It's a reminder that even when the day comes to an end, the love that brings light into one's life will continue to shine bright.

I've sung with him before as well, and there is plenty of "ping" in the voice. This must be an acoustical trick of the room, or recording. The best part of his singing is how supported it is throughout the voice. Great legato and a constant vibrato that carries the voice from pitch to pitch. Bravo Chris.

Yes, this venue does not have the best sound.

Wow!!! He sang this WELL! I particularly love his agility on the grace notes and triplets! And, his ornamentations made sense musically. He understands appoggio, and from what I can tell, appoggio is muscle memory for him! And, his voice, itself, honestly reminds me a bit of Mario Lanza. Some of Christopher's warmth and richness... I loved this!! Thank you so much for uploading this! Susan
