The band's current and former line-up has consisted of many musicians from progenital Gothenburg melodic death metal bands; Kristian Wåhlin, Johan Osterberg, and Alf Svensson were in Grotesque (a predecessor of At the Gates, who Alf would eventually join); and Daniel Svensson briefly played drums with the group before going on to major success with In Flames.
The band's most recent release was The Green Goddess (2001). Various sources differ as to band's status. However, Hans Nilsson's full-time involvement with Dimension Zero and Wåhlin's extensive contributions as an album cover artist and musician for other Scandinavian-area extreme metal bands may be attributable to the long period of no activity.
Snowblind
Diabolique Lyrics

It's not easy to wake up at all
I'm ticking like a bomb
So empty and numb
These hardened eyes
Were windows of a shell thats broken
Break it, take it bleed it dry
Heal it, save it give it life
Fear it, feel it going high
The song "Snowblind" by Diabolique is a song about the pain and difficulties of waking up without someone you care about. The lyrics convey a sense of emptiness and numbness that the singer feels without their loved one, as if they are just going through the motions of life without any real purpose or joy. The ticking like a bomb line suggests that the singer is on the brink of exploding or losing control, and the hardened eyes further emphasize the sense of emotional detachment or numbness that the singer feels.
The chorus of the song is where the main theme is revealed: the singer is struggling with the conflicting emotions of wanting to break free from the pain of their broken relationship, while also feeling fearful and trapped by their emotions. The repetition of the phrases "break it, take it, bleed it dry" and "fear it, feel it, going high" suggests the singer's desire to escape from their pain, but also their fear of confronting those emotions head-on.
Overall, "Snowblind" is a powerful and emotional song that captures the experience of heartbreak and emotional pain in a very raw and visceral way.
