Diamond Rio released their debut, Diamond Rio, in 1991. It spawned five Top 10 Country hits, including the #1 hit "Meet in the Middle", and went platinum. Their second album, Close to the Edge, released the following year, had three Top 10 singles and went gold. In 1994, their third album was released. Love a Little Stronger wasn't very successful commercially, but did produce another Top 5 single in the title track.
The mid-90's marked both a low point in album-naming creativity and a high point in chart success. Their fourth album, innovatively titled IV and released in 1996, spun off three Top 5 singles. (One of these, "It's All In Your Head", featured a video with Martin Sheen as a fiery preacher engaged in snake handling, mirroring the lyrics of the song.) In 1997, Diamond Rio released its first greatest hits album, entitled Greatest Hits. The album had two brand-new songs: "How Your Love Makes Me Feel" hit #1, and "Imagine That" became yet another top 5 hit. In 1998, Unbelievable was released, giving the band two more top 5 singles. The title track also reached the top 40 on the Pop charts. In 2001, the band released One More Day, whose title track became another chart-topper. The following year, the band released Completely, whose lead track, "Beautiful Mess", became their 4th #1 hit. The album also spawned another #1 single in "I Believe". December 30th, 2005 found Diamond Rio playing their new single In God we Still Trust during halftime of the Vitalis Sun Bowl between UCLA and Northwestern University in El Paso, Texas. Their second Greatest Hits album is scheduled to be released May 9th, 2006.

Showed my fingers to my Daddy while he was shavin'
Said look at my toes Dad what's wrong with my skin
Will this go away, will I be normal again
Well he picked me up and set me down on the hamper
Wiped off his face while he gave me the answer
For the first time I noticed the lines in his grinAs he dabbed a little foam on the end of my chin, he said
Those wrinkles ain't nothin' to be scared of
They're just a product of time and true love
Some are gonna come and go
Some are gonna come and stay
Son, you're still young, you're gonna be OK
Well, I walked down the hall, saw my Mom gettin' ready
For a long over due date, dinner with Daddy
She was cussin' those crows feet, didn't know I was listenin'
Started talkin' â??bout her younger years
And how much she missed them and I said
Those wrinkles ain't nothin' to be scared of
They're just a product of time and true love
Some are gonna come and go
Some are gonna come and stay
Mom you still look young, you're gonna be OK
As I get a little older, I'm startin' to get a few
And I'm sure I gave Mom and Dad at least one or two
We're all gonna have â??em, there ain't no doubt
But those wrinkles in life ain't nothin' you can't iron out
Those wrinkles ain't nothin' to be scared of
Some are gonna come and go
Some are gonna come and stay
I still feel young, I'm gonna be OK
Those wrinkles ain't nothin' to be scared of
They're just a product of time and true love
The song "Wrinkles" by Diamond Rio talks about the inevitability of aging and how the wrinkles that come with it are just a sign of a life lived and love shared. The lyrics begin with a child who is concerned about the wrinkles he sees on his skin after taking a bath. He asks his father if he will be "normal" again, to which his father responds that wrinkles are just a natural part of life, a product of time and true love. The father's own wrinkles become visible as he shaves, and he reassures his son that he will be okay.
Later, the child overhears his mother bemoaning her own wrinkles as she gets ready for a dinner date with her husband. He reminds her that wrinkles are just a natural part of life and that she still looks young. This exchange shows that worrying about wrinkles is something that affects people of all ages, and that it's important to remember that they're just a sign of a life that's been lived.
The chorus reiterates the message that wrinkles are nothing to be scared of, that they're just a product of time and true love. Aging is a natural part of the human experience, and the wrinkles that come with it are a reminder of all the joys and challenges that make up a life.
Overall, "Wrinkles" is a beautifully written song that reminds us of the beauty of aging and the importance of cherishing the moments we have with our loved ones. It's a message that resonates with people of all ages and one that we can all take to heart.
