A hundred thousand fire flies lined up before me
I am in a place with numerous bright lights similar to fireflies.

And if I turn my head onto the side they become my ceiling
The bright lights are everywhere and can be seen when I look from any direction.

And the floor is slippery but I'm not scared
Even though the stage is slippery, I am not afraid.

Cos I dance with my guitar when my feet are bear
I play my guitar and dance barefooted on stage.

And the lights are so bright and so unreal
The lights around are extremely bright and dazzling; not like anything in my everyday life.

And my fingers are bleeding but I can't feel them
I am so focused on performing that I don't feel the pain in my fingers even though they are bleeding.

And if you think that I'm quiet then you don't read my eyes
I have a lot to say through my music, even though I may appear quiet.

Cos I got a lot to say and most other times
My songs and performances convey my feelings and thoughts that I can't express in words.

I go off and if you don't believe it
I can deliver an exceptional performance that people may not expect.

I go off right here right now
I can start to deliver that exceptional performance right now.

Well it's hot and smokey a lot of the time
Performing on stage can be hot and filled with smoke or fog.

And I bus it or thumb it & I plain or drive
I travel to my gigs, whether by bus, hitchhiking or driving myself.

And sometimes there's roses
Sometimes I am given roses by members of the audience.

And sometimes there's coins
Sometimes they throw coins at me as a gesture of appreciation.

But well I never really noticed for the sound of my voice so
However, I never really get distracted as I am too lost in performing and singing.

On the back of a motorbike and it's raining hard
I had been on the back of a motorbike while it was raining heavily.

And I'm strapped to a man on one side and to my guitar
I was strapped to a man riding the bike and also held onto my guitar while we ride.

And I have to fight the bouncer when I get to my destination
When I arrived, the bouncer didn't recognize me and tried to prevent my entry, so I had to persuade him.

Because he doesn't recognise me from my promotion
He didn't recognize me from the gig advertisement or the flyers.

And I say now hey is that my problem
I protested his behavior since he was preventing me from doing my job.

You should really get together man
He needed to get organized and be better informed about the upcoming performances.

I got a room full of people waiting for me again and
I had people waiting for my performance, and I didn't want my appearance to delay it.

My imagination is a party and I invite you
My creative thoughts and ideas enable me to put on an exciting show.

And I'm a good hostess so i won't bite you
I will make sure to welcome everyone to my performance wholeheartedly.

I really like it here It's such a thrill
I really enjoy performing and the thrill that comes with it.

And I think the fire flies are really cool so
I appreciate the bright and exciting atmosphere caused by the numerous lights on stage.
