The song "Shater" by Diana Haddad is sung in Arabic and features a fusion of different styles and musical instruments such as a keyboard playing a Middle Eastern tune, the guitar playing a Western-style riff, and percussion instruments played in an Arabic rhythm. The repeated refrain, "Shater ya 3ainy Shater," is meant to praise the man she loves, who is the "Shater," or "clever one," in her life. She compliments him on his clever words, his handsome looks, and his mastery of the arts. She is willing to do anything for him, including writing his name on rocks, and begs him to come to her and listen to her sing.
The first verse of the song mentions the power of the Shater's words and how they have enchanted her. She believes that every word he speaks is beautiful and that he is a great artist. The second verse has her telling the Shater that she will write his name on a rock and send it floating down a river, hoping he will see it and come to her. She is bewitched by him and is willing to do anything to get his attention. The refrain keeps coming back again and again, each time reiterating that the Shater is her everything.
