As Long as I Love
Diana Krall Lyrics

Tell me, do you love me too?
I'm confessin' that I need you
Honest I do, need you every moment
In your eyes I read such strange things
But your lips deny they're true
Will your answer really change things
Making me blue?
I'm afraid someday you'll leave me
Saying, "can't we still be friends?"
If you go, you know you'll grieve me
All in life on you depends
Am I guessin' that you love me?
Dreaming dreams of you in vain
I'm confessin' that I love you over again
I'm afraid someday you'll leave me
Saying, "can't we still be friends?"
If you go, you know you'll grieve me
All in life on you depends
Am I guessin' that you love me?
Dreaming dreams of you in vain
I'm confessin' that I love you over again
I'm confessin' that I love you over again
I'm confessin' that I love you over again
The lyrics to Diana Krall's song And I Love Her are a confession of love and need. The singer is telling their lover that they love them and asking if the feeling is mutual. They also express their need for their lover every moment. However, the singer is confused by the mixed signals they receive from their lover. They see strange things in their lover's eyes but their lips deny that these things are true. The singer is wondering if their lover's answer will make them feel blue.
The singer is also afraid that their lover will leave them and only want to remain friends. They make it clear that their life depends on their lover and that their departure will cause them grief.
