Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

But the fire is so delightful,
And since we've no place to go,
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
It doesn't show signs of stopping,
And I brought some corn for popping,
The lights are turned way down low,
When we finally kiss good night,
How I'll hate going out in the storm,
But if you really hold me tight,
All the way home I'll be warm.
The fire is slowly dying,
And, my dear, we're still good-bye-ing,
But as long as you love me so.
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
The song "Let it Snow" is a classic winter holiday song originally written in 1945, and has since been covered by various artists. The song encapsulates the spirit of the holiday season with its cozy and romantic imagery. The lyrics suggest that even though the weather outside is frightful, the company of someone special along with a warm fire makes everything delightful. The singer is grateful for the present moment and has no desire to leave the warm and comforting atmosphere.
As the song progresses, there is a shift from the outer world to the inner world of the singer. They express their desire to stay in the present moment by asking for the snow to continue, and hence, they can prolong the beautiful moment they are sharing with their loved one. The singer acknowledges that the fire is slowly dying, implying that their encounter is coming to an end. The song's climax, when the singer expresses their love, says how even though they may have to leave each other, the love between them can keep them warm even on cold nights.

Oh, the weather outside is frightful,
The climate outdoors is quite scary
But the fire is so delightful,
However, the heat inside is extremely pleasing
And since we've no place to go,
Considering we have nowhere to be
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
It would be great if it snowed, let it come down
It doesn't show signs of stopping,
There's no sign of the snow slowing down
And I brought some corn for popping,
I brought corn kernels to cook
The lights are turned way down low,
The intensity of the lights has been considerably reduced
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
It would be great if it snowed, let it come down
When we finally kiss good night,
When we finally say good night
How I'll hate going out in the storm,
I will loathe leaving during the storm
But if you really hold me tight,
However, if you hold me closely
All the way home I'll be warm.
I'll be warm throughout the journey
The fire is slowly dying,
The fire is gradually becoming extinguished
And, my dear, we're still good-bye-ing,
And, my love, we're still saying farewell
But as long as you love me so.
As long as you adore me so
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
It would be great if it snowed, let it come down
