Never Le Nkemise
Die Antwoord Lyrics

Never Le Nkemise
Never Le Nkemise

I'm indestructible, gangster number one
Play now, cry later
The harder they come, the harder they fall (hos)
You can't stop me
You can try, but you won't survive
Cause I'm a motherfuckin' ninja

Zef Side Represent, you're fuckin' with the best

Ninja
The with kaffir
Ja jou naaiers
Clit fucker
Dungeon/dungeon/dungeon

Looks like I'm gonna need my
That black lock nine millimeter
Every day's like bulletproof vest time
When you're rollin' through the motherfuckin' Zef Side
And now we don't stop at the roadblocks
In the day look around three-sixty degrees
If you bustin' the motherfuckin' doughnut
I'm not even trusting a roadblock
I'll pigs bust caps in the back of your head
Bang, now you're dead
What you gonna do, huh?
Maybe go run tell Zuma?
He doesn't give a fuck
That's why we keep it motherfuckin' gangsta
I'm not scared of you
But you motherfuckin' scared of me
Yeah, the Ninja has become the enemy

I'm indestructible, gangster number one
Play now, cry later
The harder they come, the harder they fall (hos)
You can't stop me
You can try, but you won't survive
'Cause I'm a motherfuckin' ninja

If you don't like funerals, don't kick sand in a Ninja's face

The song "Never Le Nkemise 2" by Die Antwoord is a heavy and aggressive track that showcases the band's signature style of rap-rave. The repetitive chorus "Never Le Nkemise" means "I will never die" in Zulu and is a nod to the band's South African roots. The lyrics are rapped in a confident and defiant tone, with references to gangster culture and violence.

The song features a mix of English and Afrikaans lyrics, which adds to its unique and edgy sound. The mention of "Zef Side" represents the band's working-class background and their affiliation with the Zef culture, which is a movement that celebrates individuality, creativity, and self-expression. The use of profanity and derogatory terms may be controversial, but it adds to the raw and unapologetic style of the song.

The second verse of the song mentions the need for protection and a sense of danger when living in the Zef Side. The lyrics mention a "black lock nine millimeter" and a "bulletproof vest" as necessary items to have when navigating the neighborhood. The mention of not trusting roadblocks and using violence to protect oneself adds to the intense and dangerous vibe of the song.

Tried to reply to Violet, but my iPad is half smashed right now....I just went through chemotherapy. My friends and family came out of the woodwork. I've always lived a nihilistic life, but now that I've cheated death and seen that people actually cared about me, I suddenly have this new found fountain of youth. I have always loved music and used to record it, alone and with friends out west, California. Somehow, I lost that passion. Now, it's back. And Die Antwoord has a hand in it. There's something in their music that has inspired me beyond anything I've known. Maybe it's the chemo brain, maybe it's the not dying, but either way, all I can say is thank god there's music. Zef side or the fucking Beatles, there's sound that can inspire and move you. Take you to another level of consciousness. That level is one that doesn't care about what others think about you. It only cares about being a good soul while you're on this plane. And trusting yourself on the next. Because this is only temporary. We will all see each other again in one form or another. Peace...
