Since working with producer James Robertson (Down With Webster, Sky Sweetnam), Die By Remote has played venues across Toronto, was featured in The Edge 102.1 Nu Music Tuesday at the Horseshoe, and came in first place at a battle of the bands at the Mod Club. The band was selected as the September 2011 Indie Artist of the Month with The Edge 102.1 in Toronto, and had "Only One" aired on the station. DBR is nominated for a 2012 Toronto Independent Music Award in the category of Best Live Electric Performance. DBR just recently played a showcase for EMI's VP's of A&R and Publishing, and will have their song "Only One" released through EMI Music Canada on a Compilations CD.
Die By Remote is constantly writing and adding to their catalogue of songs spanning from heavy guitar driven rock to emotional ballads. DBR is going back into the studio in the next month or so to re-record and master some tracks you know now, and record a few new ones. Songs are currently available on iTunes. Though diverse, DBR's songs all have one thing in common...they'll have you singing the melody in your head, over and over again.

Die By Remote Lyrics

Why you keep pushing me away
Haven't I…
bled enough to earn my stay
Have faith…
Maybe things will change in a while
Lies in the mirror again
Lies in the mirror again
If I Say good bye…
Would you need me
If I Say good bye…
Would you miss me
If I Say good bye…
Would you follow me
I know it's hard to leave me
So easy to deceive me
Doesn't it feel safe in this mess we created
Oh Oh Oh……
I thought I knew you
Oh Oh Oh……
I thought I loved you
Oh Oh Oh……
I thought you were the only one
Oh Oh Oh……
And Now I know you
Oh Oh Oh……
I see right through you
Oh Oh Oh……
And now I am the only one
Try to leave….
To high on you to see what I need
On the floor….
I fight the pain but lose the war
Take it all….
left with nothing just the fall
Cries in the mirror again
Cries in the mirror again
If I Say good bye….
Would you need me
If I Say good bye….
Would you miss me
If I Say good bye….
Would you follow me
I know it's hard to leave me
So easy to deceive me
Doesn't it feel safe in this mess we created
Oh Oh Oh……
I thought I knew you
Oh Oh Oh……
I thought I loved you
Oh Oh Oh……
I thought you were the only one
Oh Oh Oh……
And Now I know you
Oh Oh Oh……
I see right through you
Oh Oh Oh……
And now I am the only one.
The lyrics to Die By Remote's song Only One describe the struggle of trying to hold onto a relationship that is falling apart but realizing that it is not worth the pain anymore. The singer is trying to hold onto their partner, but the partner keeps pushing them away, and despite all the hurt and pain they have endured, they still want to stay. The lyrics also point out how easy it is for the partner to deceive them, making them feel safe in the mess they have created.
The song's chorus asks if the partner would need, miss, or follow the singer if they were to say goodbye. This implies that the singer knows that leaving is the right thing to do but is still unsure of whether the partner truly cares for them or not. The lyrics end with the singer realizing that they were the only one in the relationship that truly cared, and they can now see through their partner's lies.
Overall, the song explores the theme of self-realization and the difficult decision to let go of a toxic relationship.

The movie is called, "And Then There Were None." This version is the BBC version, released in 2015. (There are many adaptations.) The film is adapted from Agatha Christie's novel of the same name. It's regarded as one of the--if not THE--greatest mystery novels of all time. Quite personally, it's one of my favorite novels ever.
This version in particular is slightly different from the novel, but overall is quite accurate. And I'm by far not a big fan of changing the film from the book, but I quite understand and, more importantly, love the changes made here! Brilliant job of the casting team, the actors, the cinematographers, the music team, and all! This adaptation is a masterpiece.

The first two adaptations I saw of this fantastic book had happy endings! It was maddening since Vera is guilty, they all are, in the book she turns out to be the most evil of all ten in the eyes of the murderer. (The guiltiest stay alive the longest so they suffer.) Thank God someone finally respected the ending.
@forallthestupidshit3550
In my country, the title for the original book was "ten little n-words," but they obviously just say the word.
Great story though!
@anaalicia5029
@ForAllThe StupidShit yes, in mine too. In English they then changed it to ‘Indians’, a stupid decision bc that was also not okay and finally soldiers with the title And then there were none. In my language, the original title was FAR less controversial, still offensive for today’s standards but not as bad. I now have the book (in English) in a new print with minor changes and the And then there were none title.

@Ana Alicia crazy what people could get away with back then!
