Blue Sky Day
Died Pretty Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Telepathy eyes, could you tell that it′s all undone?
You wept for a wide, of the thing that has lost its fun
You're living it down, what you say, but it′s walked away
You're trapping it down, just to sail any other way

Well, I will give to you solid
I will leave
A message timeless and some spare time to grieve
Yeah

Just walk away down, could you say "God, it's all undone"
Those beautiful eyes, could you tell it′s not the only one?
What happened to you now, can′t afford that she walks away
Telepathy eyes, could you tell written all the way?

Well, I will give to you solid
I will leave
A message timeless and some spare time to grieve
Over

Now I will give to you solid
I will leave
A message timeless and some spare time to grieve
Over

Hey, let's try
Hey, let′s try

Hey, let's try
Hey, let′s try

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Died Pretty's song Blue Sky Day seem to be about a failed relationship and the aftermath of it. The use of "Telepathy eyes" in the first line could imply a strong connection between the two people involved, but it also suggests that despite their connection, something has gone wrong. The singer mentions that the person in question is "weeping for a wide" which could be interpreted as lamenting over the loss of something significant or meaningful.

The next line "You're living it down, what you say, but it′s walked away" could be indicating that the person is trying to keep a brave face and move on from the failed relationship, but the reality is that they are struggling to deal with it. The use of "telepathy eyes" again in the third verse implies that despite the separation, the two people involved still have a deep connection, but it is now being tested.

The chorus "Well, I will give to you solid, I will leave a message timeless, and some spare time to grieve" could be interpreted as the singer offering some form of closure or support to the person in question. The final lines of the song "Hey, let's try" suggests that despite the failed relationship, there is still hope for something in the future.

Overall, the lyrics to the song Blue Sky Day seem to be about the aftermath of a failed relationship and the struggles that come with trying to move on from it. The use of telepathy and strong connections between people suggests that there were deep feelings involved, but something has gone wrong, leaving the person struggling to find closure.

Tragically unheralded band outside Australia. So many radio friendly tracks, man what great music.

Phenomenal, always been one of my favorite songs by any band. Saw them live once in Boston late 80's and they were mind-blowing.... what an incredible album this was. (and yes it was an album and a bloody sweet looking one at that)
