Búmeran
Digan Whisky Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Llevan a éste mismo callejón!

Overall Meaning

In "Búmeran," Digan Whisky sings about the complexity of relationships and the struggle to understand where one stands in them. In the opening verse, the singer recounts searching for "mandala keys" in the night, a symbolic gesture for finding a way to unlock barriers between the couple. The next line speaks of crossing over well, which suggests that there are obstacles to overcome in their relationship. They leave a "earthquake" to move closer, indicating that their love is intense and passionate. But, at the same time, there's an underlying feeling of unfulfilled desire, as they have a thirst to be the balcony of their loved one, wanting to be close to one another yet apart at the same time.

The following verse expresses the singer's confusion about where they belong in the world. They see the city of Managua dancing atop wobbly ground, a metaphor that life is unpredictable and somewhat unstable. The line "let go of the fear, play chess between the two" reinforces the idea of a battle between uncertainty and the unknown.

The chorus seems to suggest that the world is made up of little things that are overlooked or taken for granted, as the earth is described as a "satellite of an olive" - something small and inconsequential. The singer describes their love interest as a "teluric nymph" who defies the crystal walls of the room. Although the singer has walked a lot, they have returned to the same place, reinforcing the idea that they are confused about their place in life.
