Fall
Diggy_Simmons Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Who said enough was ever enough?
Will we let them make the rules for us?
And you know we shine like the sun
So put it in drive cause we're on the run

So let's break all the rules
I want you to hold me down like you love it
Kissing and touching all in public
It's like a scene from a movie, yeah
And we ain't worried 'bout nothing
We so high think I'm buzzing now

Since we're on the edge, we should fall, fall, fall
No stopping us we should fall
Baby we should fall, fall
Fall in love or whatever

And we never pick up when they call (No no)
We don't got time to get involved
Too busy running this world like we should be
And God only knows our destiny

So let's break all the rules
I want you to hold me down like you love it
Kissing and touching all in public
It's like a scene from a movie, yeah
And we ain't worried 'bout nothing
We so high think I'm buzzing now

Since we're on the edge, we should fall, fall, fall
No stopping us we should fall
Baby we should fall, fall
Fall in love or whatever

We'll never apologize, we'll never apologize
Ah, they saying that we moving like we in a race
Probably shouldn't make it cause we didn't wait
But I told 'em to ventilate
Let it breathe if it's wrong let it sink girl
We gonna run the world like we 'posed to
They think local, we think global
Your girlfriend saying they don't know you
Use to do soul food now you used to Nobles
You learning all types of new things
I know they mad you my new thang
Change ya view, now ya view changed
Uh-uh damn girl you ain't nothin' to Wu-Tang

Since we on the edge, we should fall, fall, fall
No stopping us we should fall

Baby we should fall, fall
Fall in love or whatever

Overall Meaning

The song "Fall" by Diggy Simmons is about breaking the rules and living life on your own terms. The lyrics suggest that the singer is tired of following the rules set by society and wants to take control of their own destiny. The chorus urges the listener to take a risk and fall in love or whatever else they want to do, even if it means going against the norm.

The first verse questions who decided that "enough was ever enough" and asks if "they" should be the ones making the rules for everyone else. The singer then reveals that they are in a loving relationship and are not afraid to make it public. They describe the feeling as being like a scene from a movie and are not worried about what anyone else thinks. The second verse describes the singer as being too busy running the world to answer calls from anyone else. They claim that they are not sorry for their actions and refuse to apologize.

The chorus repeats the idea that the singer and their partner should take a risk and fall in whatever way they want. The bridge of the song talks about how the couple is different from others because they are thinking globally while others are only thinking locally. The singer tells their partner that they are changing their view on life and learning new things with them. The bridge ends with a playful reference to the Wu-Tang Clan.

Overall, the song is about living life boldly and taking risks even when the world tells you not to. It's about rejecting societal norms and expectations and creating your own path.

I feel like Diggy does not get enough credit. His songs are actually good

Agreed

Mind Yours

+Maddygurl12304996 If the kid really wanted to be known. He would hire some killer ass DJ to mix other artist lyrics into his songs. It would be easy click bait. To not only draw attention to his music. Yet to show other artists how he or they would sound on each others tracks.

Maddygurl12304996

True collabs are the biggest way to get attention. I feel like he just wants to do his own thing tho. People to get caught up on beats tho but I guess thats what catches ppl's attention.

Mind Yours

Maddygurl12304996 Some of his most hits are from collabs. I would keep doing them at least till I'm fully known. Then just do my own thing. I just feel it would do him so much more justice.

Stop comparing him to everyone else. He is amazing! His voice is sexy as hell and this is honestly my favorite video that he's done yet. I love how it was just him. He's not going to always do the same stuff that he used to, he's older now and it would be boring if he constantly stuck to the same material. The song is amazing, the video is flawless, he looks perfect as always. Just let him be. This video is amazing.

RecklessSweetheart

The song is just so simple! Thats what I love about it! What I mean by that is just the way its written its effortless. There's no need to look in a dictionary and find words because this song is all emotion. Like "Fall in love or whatever" who ever this girl is is making his world spin, you know what I'm saying. The simplicity of the song was in the video. The video is on a bridge he talks about going off the edge I think thats why its on a bridge because he wants to FALL hard for this girl or already did. So for those of you saying thats it? Honestly I was thinking the same thing but then I listened to the song and watched the video and it all made sense. Just the way I explained it. Its more about imagery then production this time. And screw who ever is thinking this is like Drake two different artists similar sound thats it. I love Diggy and all his cuteness since Runs House. I always knew he was going to be something one day.
