To you it's all just a fucking game
I've heard enough, so shut up and show me
I promise you we'll never be the same
So come on bring the anger
Come on what you got my friend
You think you know me well you better think again
Come on, come on you wanna dance with the devil
Come on, come on you better pray for a miracle
Come on, come on if you survive this round
Step it up or you'll be going down
I think it's time you put your money where your mouth is
You better learn to love the feel of pain
You know my name, but you don't know about this
I'm on the edge of what they call insane
So come one bring the pressure
Come on how much can you take
You think you know me well I think that's your mistake
[Chorus:]
I think you might underestimate the fire within me
Such a fatal mistake to make so close to your enemy
I hope you're ready for another round
I'm never gonna back down, never gonna back down
You think you got it
You think you got what it takes to break me down
[Chorus:]
The lyrics of Digital Summer's song Come On are packed with aggression and a sense of defiance. From the very first line, the singer establishes a confrontational tone towards their perceived opponent. They reject the idea that they can be understood or easily beaten, calling it a "fucking game." Instead, they challenge their enemy to bring their anger and follow through with their threats. The repeated refrain of "come on" feels like a dare, an invitation to push their limits and see who will come out on top.
The chorus acts as a warning, telling the antagonist that if they choose to engage, they must be prepared to face the consequences. They encourage their challenger to "dance with the devil" and "pray for a miracle," suggesting they will need both luck and bravery to come out of the fight unscathed. However, the singer is also aware of their own power and strength. They describe themselves as being on the "edge of what they call insane," suggesting that they might be willing to go to extremes to defend themselves.
Overall, Digital Summer's Come On is a song that celebrates resistance and rebellion. It portrays the singer as unapologetically defiant, unwilling to be subdued by anyone. The lyrics are a testament to the power of determination and the will to fight back, even in the face of adversity.
