Final Call
Dikta Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
We can finally let go
There is no one around
In the light of the Lord
It just seems much brighter
It's not the same on the ground
Final call for last mistakes
Final call for pulling brakes
Final call for us
Checking in and checking out
Checking in, filled with doubt
Checking out with you
I can't believe this is happening
I have so much undone
Broken bones, broken promises
Can you hear me, can you hear me?
I think I am losing control
Being pulled to the ground
Final call for last mistakes
Final call for pulling brakes
Final call for us
Checking in and checking out
Checking in, filled with doubt
Checking out with you
My final, my final
My final inferno
My final, my final
My final inferno
Final call for last mistakes
Final call for pulling brakes
Final call for us
Checking in and checking out
Checking in, filled with doubt
Checking out with you
The lyrics of Dikta's song Final Call describe a sense of release and surrender as the singer's physical body floats above the ground. As they rise towards the light of the Lord, the world below seems less significant. The first verse provides a sense of liberation as they are finally able to let go of something or someone they are holding onto. The second verse moves towards a sense of finality, as the singer acknowledges their past mistakes and the broken promises that remain unfinished. The chorus reiterates the call towards a final reckoning, as they are forced to confront the consequences of their actions.
The use of the phrase "checking in and checking out" in the verses suggests an inherent tension and instability that is present in the singer's life. This creates a sense of unease that is further emphasized by the repetition of the phrase "my final inferno" in the final chorus. The overall tone of the lyrics is one of uncertainty and apprehension, as the singer seems to be standing at a crossroads and unsure of their next step.
