Hotel Feelings
Dikta Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Lays tangled on the floor
The secrets in her eyes
Slowly fade away
She never should have come
She knew it all along
Where did it all come from? Where did I go wrong?
I can't believe my eyes
Another one goes down
(I) just had to stop her cries
Now silence is the sound
Everything's all right
But everything is red
I'll have to clean the walls
I've really made a mess
She never should have come
She knew it all along
Where did it all come from?
Where did I go wrong?
I can't believe my eyes
Another one goes down
(I) just had to stop her cries
Now silence is the sound
Hotel feelings
Hotel diary
I am gone now
I am gone
The song Hotel Feelings by Dikta is a melancholic ballad that tells the story of a man who seems to have accidentally caused harm to a woman who came to stay with him in a hotel room. The woman is depicted as being in deep emotional turmoil, as evidenced by the torn-up summer dress that lies tangled on the floor and the secrets in her eyes that slowly fade away. The man is regretful and confused, wondering where it all came from and where he went wrong. He describes having to stop her cries, and now silence is the sound. The tone of the song is one of sorrow and loss, with the chorus repeating the phrase "Hotel feelings, Hotel diary, I am gone now, I am gone." The man seems to have lost not only the woman he was with, but also something of himself, as he describes having to clean up the mess he made and how everything is now red.
The lyrics of Hotel Feelings are open to interpretation, but one possible meaning is that the man and woman had a brief and intense fling, which ended in tragedy. Perhaps the man was not emotionally prepared for the intensity of the woman's feelings, and struggled to cope with her emotional outbursts. The hotel room could symbolize a temporary escape from reality, a place where the man and woman could be together without the pressures of the outside world. However, the consequences of their actions are now painfully clear, and the man is left to contemplate what went wrong.
Overall, Hotel Feelings is a sad and haunting song that conveys a sense of regret and despair. The lyrics are poignant and thought-provoking, inviting the listener to reflect on their own experiences of love and loss.
