Let Go
Dikta Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Seen better, more hopeful days
So long ago
Wish I could just
Shut down, and start back up
To find myself again
Help me to break out
Out of my own self
Help me to break out
Out of my own self
Seen better days
Seen better, more hopeful days
So long ago
Wish I could just
Shut down, and start back up
To find myself
Help me to break out
Out of my own self
Help me to break out
Out of my own self
I feel like I felt before
Keep hanging around for more
Should've just let it go
While everything stays the same
I've only got me to blame
Should I have let it go?
Help me to break out
Out of my own self
Help me to break out
Out of my own self
The lyrics of Dikta's song 'Let Go' convey the artist's yearning to reclaim lost hope and find his true self. The opening lines of the song 'Seen better days, Seen better, more hopeful days, So long ago' establishes the mood of nostalgia and melancholy, indicating the passing of a happier time. The repetition of 'Help me break out, Out of my own self' throughout the song underscores the artist's need for change and transformation, to be released from the limitations of his current state.
The chorus shifts to a more introspective tone, with the artist questioning his choices and actions, wondering if he should have 'let go' of a situation before. The lines 'While everything stays the same, I've only got me to blame' further emphasize the theme of personal accountability and the need for introspection. The final plea for help to 'break out of his own self' suggests a desire to move forward and shed the old skin, to start anew.
Overall, the lyrics of 'Let Go' convey a sense of longing and self-reflection, with the artist seeking to break free from past disappointments and rediscover his true self.
