Remember
Dillon Fence Lyrics

Dry your salty skin
Do you remember anything at all
Or did you try to forget?
Grass stains on your knees
Dancing in the fields
Do you remember anything at all
Or did you try to forget?
And I won't forget all the little things
That you tried to forget
Do you remember anything at all
Or did you try to forget?
Dillon Fence's song "Remember" exudes a sense of nostalgia as it paints vivid imagery of long-gone memories. The opening line, "Water color sun," is a beautiful metaphor for the passage of time and how it fades memories. The line "Dry your salty skin" suggests that the person being addressed is trying to forget something painful, perhaps a long-lost love or a hard decision they had to make. The repetition of the question "Do you remember anything at all/Or did you try to forget?" adds to the melancholic and nostalgic tone of the song.
The second verse expands on the imagery of memories with the line "Grass stains on your knees/Dancing in the fields," conjuring up images of childhood innocence and carefree days. Despite the fond memories, the chorus makes it clear that some things were deliberately forgotten. The lines "I won't forget all the little things/And I won't forget all the little things/That you tried to forget" suggest that despite the efforts to forget something, some memories still linger.
Overall, "Remember" is a powerful and emotional song that captures the fleeting nature of memories and how some things are impossible to forget, no matter how hard we try.
