These lyrics are from the song "Ta Ta Li Baba" by Dimensión Latina. The song talks about a person who is far away from their homeland, reminiscing and singing songs about their country. He says that he is singing to his mother and remembering his homeland from a ship, where he is singing in English. He repeats the phrase "Tata li baba mi Cuba li" several times, which seems to be a reference to a traditional Cuban dance or call-and-response song.
The song has a lively beat and incorporates elements of traditional Cuban music, including the use of percussion instruments like congas and timbales. The lyrics are in both Spanish and English, reflecting the influence of American culture on Cuban music during the time the song was written. The use of call-and-response and repetition in the song encourages audience participation and creates a sense of community and shared cultural heritage among listeners.
Overall, "Ta Ta Li Baba" is a nostalgic tribute to Cuba and its vibrant musical culture, celebrating the connection that music can create between people and their homeland, regardless of how far away they may be.
