Their first release was 'Crystalator' which Sub Pop put out as a seven inch. Another single, 'Don't Make Me Buy Out Your Silence' followed on Flying Nun. The first Dimmer album "I Believe You Are A Star" was released in 2001. Their second album, "You've Got To Hear The Music", was released in 2004.

I have an idea for elevator-lift lighting using LED concept on CCFL(usually better quality light "torque").
If power-brick is at 1000mah at 5v
If bus wired
If (X-quantity of)dimmable (this youtube video) LED.sss (at 500mah) used
Need 2 LED.sss for low-light
Need 4 LED.sss for good-light
Put 8 dimmable LED.sss and drive by 2x 1000mah power-bricks but without dimmer.
Objective = reduce Maintenance and running costs by slow reaction to failures.

QUESTION: why won’t dimmable tube light dim below 20% or so? What dictates how low it will dim?

There's likely a certain amount of current needed for the tube light to light up. Under 20% there's not enough current so it doesn't light at all. Not an expert just a guess.

Question - my ecosmart smart bulbs (100w) hum. i read that I need to change out current switch to a non dimmable switch to fix problem.
what is a non dimmable switch? can’t find any real answer online. I do see something about ground or neutral wire? And I’m going to Home Depot; how will I know if a switch is non dimmable? Is this just a standard light switch, something like 15A 3-way switch for like $5?

All dimmable switches clearly state that they are dimmable. All other standard light switches are non-dimmable.
