Little Fury Things
Dinosaur Jr. Lyrics

Who is it?
Where is it?
[Chorus:]
A rabbit falls away from me, I guess I'll crawl
A rabbit always smashes me, again I'll crawl
Tried to think what's over me, it makes me crawlThen she runs away from me, faster than I crawl
I stopped to call, tried to feel it all
Stuck my hand and pulled real hard
Got stretch in miles, not in yards
Then I read, about all those who believe all of your lies
Sunlight brings the rage right in your eyes
[Chorus: x2]
The lyrics to Dinosaur Jr.'s song "Little Fury Things" are cryptic and open to interpretation. The lines "What is it? Who is it? Where is it?" suggest a state of uncertainty and confusion. The chorus talks about a rabbit that falls away from the singer, causing them to crawl. The rabbit continues to smash the singer, making them crawl again. The singer tries to think about what's over them, which makes them crawl even more. Then a woman runs away from the singer faster than they can crawl.
The verses are even more abstract, with lines like "I stopped to call, tried to feel it all" and "sunlight brings the rage right in your eyes." The lyrics seem to be about feeling lost and unable to escape from something that keeps dragging the singer down. The rabbit and the woman could be symbolic of this, representing different aspects of the singer's struggle. The final line "sunlight brings the rage right in your eyes" adds a sense of urgency to the song, suggesting that the singer needs to break free from whatever is holding them back before it's too late.

I was 13 years old, wearing a Nirvana shirt. I went to my friends house, and the one and only time I met his uncle was when he was walking to his car as we approached the house. In his thick Irish accent he goes ... "Nirvana ey? Hav ya eva heard of Dinosaww Juniah?"... only thing he ever said to me, I didnt even get a chance to respond he just got in his car and left. Never saw the man again in my life. Little did he know, he changed mine.
