1. Dio was an American heavy metal band formed in 1982 and led by vocalist Ronnie James Dio. Dio left Black Sabbath with intentions to form a new band with fellow former Black Sabbath drummer Vinny Appice. The name Dio was chosen because it made sense from a commercial standpoint, as the name was already well known at that time. The band released ten studio albums and had numerous lineup changes over the years, with Dio himself being the only constant member. Guitarists included Vivian Campbell, Craig Goldy, Doug Aldrich, Warren DeMartini, Tracy G, Jake E. Lee and Rowan Robertson. The band dissolved in 2010 when Ronnie James Dio died of stomach cancer at the age of 67. Dio has sold more than 20 million albums worldwide.

So you know the feeling
As the ring slips through your fingers
Sometimes you justify it
But there's the sword
And you're bleeding once again
Can't crawl away
Here's a way to save you
You gotta push
Get out of my way and push
You can turn the wheel
Push
One more push
You're master of the broken heart
And so you know the feeling
As your soul starts going under
Sometimes you rectify it
Then out of the blue
The hammer falls again
Before you're in the water
Can't sail away
Here's a way to save you
You gotta push
Break the body down
Oh push
Out of my way I'll push
You better push
You gotta push
Hands against the wall
And push
Out of my way we'll push
You can turn the wheel
Go on and push
Push
Push
Push
Push
The lyrics to this song by Dio feat. Tenacious D, titled "Push," are a call to action for those who have found themselves in difficult situations. The opening lines, "You've ridden on a carousel, so you know the feeling, as the ring slips through your fingers," paint a picture of a person who understands the fleeting nature of life and the importance of seizing opportunities. However, sometimes these opportunities slip away, and the person is left feeling defeated and bleeding ("there's the sword, and you're bleeding once again").
The chorus of the song is a repetition of the word "push," invoking a sense of urgency and determination. This is followed by the lines, "You're master of the broken heart, and so you know the feeling, as your soul starts going under." Here, the lyrics speak to the concept of emotional resilience and the ability to bounce back from heartbreak. However, just when you think you have overcome your struggles, "out of the blue, the hammer falls again." This serves as a reminder that life is unpredictable and challenging, and we must continue pushing forward even when we face setbacks.
The final lines of the song reiterate the message of determination and the importance of taking action: "Hands against the wall and push, out of my way we'll push, you can turn the wheel, go on and push." Overall, "Push" is a motivational anthem that encourages listeners to persevere in the face of adversity and take charge of their lives.
